WWE's senior leadership team has a new member.

It was announced on Monday that WWE has hired Catherine Newman in the role of executive vice president and head of marketing. She was formerly the chief marketing officer for Manchester United Media.

Newman's oversight will include "marketing, brand, community relations, entertainment relations, creative services and photography."

"Newman brings more than two decades of executive experience to WWE including her most recent role as Chief Marketing Officer of Manchester United Media. She has also held senior positions at The Times of London and Financial Times, leading global marketing initiatives, developing strategic partnerships, and boosting subscription growth across various products," WWE wrote.

"She is a graduate of Loughborough University, a Chartered Institute of Marketing Postgraduate from Buckinghamshire New University and a Fellow & Mentor in the Marketing Academy, United Kingdom."

The hire comes after WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon announced last month that she is taking a leave of absence from the majority of her responsibilities with the company. McMahon stated that she looks forward to returning to WWE after taking this time to focus on her family.

WWE getting real and hiring people who could increase their ad revenue and brand awareness.

Maybe I should buy a large portion of WWE stock again.....but that would mean I'd have to put my trust in the banks again....
