...time to drop an HQ post for the first time in three years.
The fact that people are debating about whether or not this is "offensive" drives me crazy lol. Why would this be offensive but a swimsuit model or an Instagram account with a million + followers not be? "Oh but they're objectifying women!!"... Not to get too SJW here, but it's okay for women to want to be beautiful, and clearly this is what Alexa and Mandy have a passion for in life. They clearly take a lot of pride in their bodies and doing stuff like this is fine for them.
Really though, I'm offended as a wrestling fan. I don't see why WWE bothers running angles anymore. Nobody pays attention to them, they never get over the right way... Usually I like angles like this, and figure if it wasn't segment 14 of their bloated slog through Monday and Tuesday it could have even worked a little bit... Just like we learned from Roman Reigns, you cannot get a babyface over without them having some sort of likable quality about them. As a man, I'm proud of kayfabe Jimmy Uso for doing the stunt he did in this scene, going through that little ambush to lead his wife to the ambush as well... (though if I was Jey...) Because hey, Jimmy's a good husband. I'm proud of you, bro. You're over here making men look good in the place where male stereotypes are at their strongest. Shame people don't care because they're too busy seeing omg shield your eyes a bikini model is wearing lingerie larger than her wrestling gear you always see her in!!
Both of them wrestle in less than this ffs. WHY IS THIS A BIG DEAL.
Most people saw the Alexa thing and said "k that was random" and moved on. It's just there for Youtube clicks and for me to make quick jokes about on here lol
As for the Trish thing... I can't escape the feeling watching (in a kayfabe era) that that they had to beef up ringside security because I'd just want to jump the barricade and go Stunner Vince my damn self. I'm... not sure where the rules of wrestling really lie here, but I was okay with it. Trish herself said in an interview it was part of a bigger picture, and why she stood up to Vince and slapped the taste of out of his mouth at WM17. That's how wrestling works, but... More power to ya if you hated it.
