As previousy reported, WWE confirmed the following names for the RAW cruiserweight division - Gran Metalik, Akira Tozawa, Jack Gallagher, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Brian Kendrick, Noam Dar and TJ Perkins.

It appears this is the entire roster, for now at least, as PWInsider reports that the initial division will feature just 10 Superstars. It's very possible that new cruiserweights will be introduced to the division over time.

The current plan is for the RAW cruiserweights to work RAW TV events as well as WWE NXT TV events and NXT live events. They will likely start working RAW live events soon as well.

The division kicks off on September 19th at RAW in Memphis.
Kinda interested in who they have win the actual CWC tournament because surely they would want them on RAW right? It seems like Ibushi is the obvious favourite to win the tournament, but I could of swore I read somewhere not so long ago that Ibushi didn't want to commit to a full time WWE deal or something, so if that is true surely they wouldn't put him over right?

Treat it like a legit division like Bantamweight n stuff.

Hope they find someone who can draw or they're just Mighty Mouse division no one cares about and goes back to jobbing to Hornswoggle.

No one in that CWC have shown anything to be their Ronda or Connor. The British guys are lame, just because they can do some Johnny Saint shit, doesn't mean it's awesome and doesn't look fake as fuck.

Outside of Cena and Brock, they don't even have anyone like that in the rest of the WWE, so needing one in the Cruiserweight division seems super unlikely.

They just need a bunch of guys to put on hot matches each week to fill some time and they've certainly got it looking at the names on there.

Brian Kendrick has been pretty phenomenal, so, i wouldn't be shocked if he gets the first title win. He could always be the crafty vet and help the young guys get to wrestle the WWE style and the TV style.

All they need is that one guy.

Look at what Cena did all by himself when he was US champ.

Don't see much in Gallagher and Sabre Jr.....turning someone's wrist and doing local self defense class level of demonstration of fake techniques isn't interesting.

I've known the name for quite some time but never seen him till he got to NXT but I really do like Rich Swann, I think that guy has the proverbial 'IT' :y2j:

I'm surprised Da Mack didn't get called up as well.

I'm a fan of those named. Gallagher is truly under-rated, I think out of the lot I will have to say TJP will stand out the most.

Saw this the other day on Reddit and reminded me of what I said in here. Could just be a red herring, who knows.

Which is why I think TJ Perkins wins this.

I'd definitely be surprised if they give to someone who's not signing to the division so that knocks out ZSJ and Kota and I think TJ has a better look for who they'd want to win.

It's got to be TJP. He's got the most potential for WWE after the CWC.
