Coming off what was another pretty damn good Pay Per View offering (including for my money two of the best matches of 2012 so far in the sem-final and main event) TNA produced a mostly
entertaining Impact show which did much to advance the Aces & 8s angle, the Bound for Glory series and the Knockouts Division.

Austin Aries opened the show almost bragging about how his victory at Hardcore Justice proved that he was no fluke champion and that he was now running the show, double AA also put the Aces and 8s group on warning, Jeff Hardy came out and hyped the BFGS as well as sending a message to A&8, Bully Ray cut him off by once again making his case that James Storm was behind A&8s, Hardy then pointed the figure at Ray at this point Aries reminded them about the BFGS and said that whoever won he would defeat at that ppv. This segment was a bit messy but overall pretty solid not least when Ray and Aries were on the mic. Does anyone else get the impression that Aries is starting to act a little too heelish?

Samoa Joe defeated Magnus via rolling cradle in a good BFGS match to climb to second place on the leaderboard. Post-match Magnus struck Joe from behind with a chair that dirty rotten brit:rolleyes:

Madison Rayne was celebrating her Knockouts Title win at Hardcore Justice with hubby Earl Hebner when Brooke Hogan informed Rayne that Earl would not be refereeing anymore of the champs matches and that she would been facing Miss Tessmacher in a return Title match later in the show with a guest referee chosen by Brooke. When Madison challenged Hogan to get in the ring, Brooke chased her and lover boy away (ok why would a trained wrestler be afraid a none wrestler?). At this point Aces and 8s appeared behind Brooke in the ring and started stalking her before members of the locker room made the save. Besides Brooke's terrible acting and how weak Rayne was made to look by fleeing from her this was an enjoyable segment I thought.

Following the break Sting cut a passionate promo issuing a challenge to A&8s for next weeks show to take part in Open Fight Night against members of the TNA roster. Good work Stinger!

AJ Styles pinned Christopher Daniels in an excellent BFGS match with an inventive finish. Kaz made his way out to ringside and signalled for Daniels to allow AJ to suplex him back inside at which point Kaz hooked AJ's leg resulting in Daniels crashing down on him and getting the three count, however when the official saw Kaz near the apron he point two and two together and restarted the bout, AJ hit the palia kick and took the points. For me this was one of the best television matches I have seen all year, the only down side was the dumb stipulation added that if Styles lost the match he would admit to being the father of Claire Lynch's bady however if Daniels lost AJ would take a test proving either way if he was the father or not.

In a telephone conversation with Sting Hulk Hogan said that he would appear as part of open fight night to face A&8s next week "Oh brother" indeed:Bored:

Footage aired of Bobby Roode's loss to Austin Aries at Hardcore Justice after which Roode came out in very sombre mood and blamed the fans and TNA officals for him not winning the title back when fans started to boo and chanted "looser" Roode became so upset than he stumbled over his words.

Miss Tessmacher regained the Knockouts Title in a fair match against Madison Rayne which was not as good as their effort four days earier, the four day title reign couse strikes again! The guest ref for the match turned out to be actress/model Taryn Terrell who WWE fans will know better as Tiffany. My prediction for No Surrender is that either Rayne faces Terrell possibly in a number one contenders match or we get Rayne VS. Tessmacher VS. Terrell for the title.

Jeff Hardy beat Bully Ray with a twist of fate and roll up following a destraction from A&8s in a medicore BFGS match. Afterwards Bully got into a shoving match with James Storm (who had come out during the match), Storm went for a super kick but instead struck Hardy. Ray left and the show closed with A&8s beating down Storm thus ending the speclution that the cowboy has been behind the group and their attacks.

Next weeks Impact should be very interesting.

Best Match: Styles VS. Daniels

Worse Match: Ray VS. Hardy

Overall Show Rating 7/10
