Summerslam 2018: After A dull and boring Summerslam, the fans are growing stagnant and stale with the product. It was the same old WWE booking with Roman winning again in a unpopular match. Roman winning the title would not be a popular decision with the crowd and Brock would be pissed off at this. So, some changes would need to be made or viewership is going to keep declining. With how the fans have reacted to the rise of NXT, A change of direction is needed and that's what the fans are going to get.

FIGHTFUL SELECT
August, 19th, 2018

The backstage reception to Summerslam would be mixed, with many of the names backstage being unhappy with the creative direction with WWE. One of these names would say "I've loved this business for decades, but I'm not having fun anymore when everything is overly complicated." The fans would be more interested in the WWE's developmental brand NXT than the main roster, and Triple H would be appearing for an early meeting this morning alongside Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, key members of the board and higher ups. While it hasn't been confirmed yet it seems change is coming to the WWE product.

FIGHTFUL SELECT
August, 20th, 2018

Mustafa Ali is reportedly coming to smackdown live this tuesday, with higher ups having "Big plans" coming for the 32 year old cruiserweight. Along with that 6 NXT superstars are coming to the main roster in the coming weeks, 2 of which are former NXT champion Aleister Black and former north american champion Ricochet



RAW PREVIEW

We hear from the new Universal champion Roman Reigns, what will he have to say about Brock Lesnar, Mr. MITB Braun Strowman and others?
The intercontinental champion Seth Rollins will be making his first title defense against the scottish psychopath Drew McIntyre, who's been A thorn in his side for the past few months.
Dean Ambrose makes his return to action for the first time in 8 months where he faces A man who's also been A thorn in Seth's side, Dolph Ziggler!
We also see A number 1 contenders battle royal to determine Seth's opponent in 2 weeks time on RAW
Kevin Owens is in action against Chad Gable
The RAW tag titles will be on the line when the B-Team defend against the revival
We hear from the new RAW women's champ Ronda Rousey
And much more on RAW!

Barclays Center, Brooklyn New York

Roman Reigns opens RAW to A mixed reaction from the RAW crowd, he says last night he proved all of the haters and doubters wrong and finally took his place at the top as the guy. He then says what's next is there's A man who never got his rematch at this Universal championship and he's going to get it and he brings out Finn Balor. Finn thanks Roman for this opportunity but tells Roman his first defense is going to be his last defense after he takes Roman's championship away from him and ends his reign, Roman says may the best man win but he's not going to let himself lose this Championship this early, it gets heated, but they settle down as we move on.


Seth Rollins would make his way to the ring to A big pop, and he'd give Roman Reigns A hug before he gets to his match.

Match 1: Seth Rollins (C) VS Drew McIntyre Intercontinental Championship

McIntyre and Seth would have A good match, McIntyre would dominate the early stages and take him down with A Glasgow's kiss headbutt. After that he would go for A claymore, but Seth would fight back and make A comeback, he would kick him in the gut and go for A stomp, but Drew would move out of the way and hit the Glasgow's kiss! McIntyre then would hit the claymore, but at the last second Seth gets his foot on the ropes! McIntyre would get desperate and go for another pinfall, but Seth would kickout at 1 this time, he'd get him up future shock DDT on Seth! But Seth still kicks out! He goes for another claymore, but Seth moves out of the way last minute and hits the stomp! Seth would cover him for the 3 and get the win retaining the intercontinental championship!

Seth's celebration would quickly be ruined by the attack from Ziggler and McIntyre! But then Ambrose would make the save and bring the fight to both Ziggler and McIntyre!

Renee Young would be backstage with Chad Gable, she'd ask him how he feels about his chances tonight and his opponent Kevin Owens. Gable would say tonight he has his doubters fighting A former universal champion, but he's gonna prove them wrong and get what many would consider an upset and pick up the biggest win he's had in A long time if not in his entire career.

Match 2: Dolph Ziggler VS Dean Ambrose​

Ziggler and Ambrose would have an intense exchange to start, trading blows until Ambrose would finally win that exchange. Ziggler would go for an early superkick but Ambrose would dodge, then Ambrose would go for the dirty deeds but Ambrose would dodge. Ziggler during the next portion of the match would be the cocky showoff that he is, and mainly taunt. But then Ambrose would fight back and make A comeback, he'd clothesline him in the corner and then hit A bulldog! Ambrose would go for the dirty deeds but Ziggler would fight back, he'd kick Ambrose in the leg and hit A famouser for A 2 count! Ziggler would go for multiple elbow drops but he'd miss on the last one, but then McIntyre would appear on the apron and distract Ambrose leading to Ziggler hitting the zig zag! But then Seth takes out McIntyre and Ambrose kicks out of it! He'd tune up the band for another superkick but Ambrose would duck and hit the dirty deeds for the 3 count and victory!

Ambrose would celebrate when again McIntyre and Ziggler attack him from behind! Seth would run to the ring but then eat A claymore, Ziggler would hold up the IC title and say he and Seth are not finished!

Next is the battle royal and before we get to it I figure I'd mention the line-up

Apollo Crews, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Bobby Roode, Curt Hawkins, Elias, Gran Metalik, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Lince Dorado, Matt Hardy, Mike Kanellis, Mojo Rawley, No Way Jose, Titus O'Neil, Tyler Breeze, Zack Ryder

Backstage Ziggler and McIntyre would lay out Hawkins and Ryder, and take their place!

And then some more unannounced names enter, Heavy Machinery, and Ricochet!

Match 3: Intercontinental Championship Number 1 Contenders battle royal

The match would start and quickly McIntyre and Ziggler would take out No Way Jose and eliminate him! Lashley would throw out Lince, and Corbin Mike Kanellis. They'd do A 4 man alliance, taking out Breeze Titus Mojo and Jinder. Lince would fight back before being hit with A claymore and eliminated! Corbin would brag until GRAN METALIK ELIINATES HIM! Corbin is shocked and as Metalik celebrates, ZIG ZAG! Ziggler eliminates him. Elias would be hiding but heavy machinery would catch him and get A huge elimination! But then Ziggler McIntyre and Lashley eliminate both Otis and Tucker. Matt Hardy would put on A good fight but eat A claymore and Zig zag combo and get eliminated. They'd then eliminate Roode, Apollo fights back AND ELIMINATES LASHLEY! But eats A claymore/zig zag combo and gets thrown out. Heath would go for the sneak elim but would get thrown out and 3 remain, Ricochet Ziggler and McIntyre. McIntyre goes for A claymore but Ricochet ducks AND THROWS OUT DREW! But then he eats A superkick, Ziggler goes to throw him out but he hangs on.. he then superkicks him to the apron, he goes for another but it gets ducked and Ricochet kicks him in the head KNOCKING HIM OFF RICOCHET WINS!

We cut backstage to Seth Rollins, who is happy with Ricochet winning and says this isn't over between him and Dolph when he gets attacked from behind by Ziggler and McIntyre! They challenge him and Dean to A tag match at HIAC!

Match 4: Kevin Owens VS Chad Gable
​

Kevin Owens would get A big pop from the crowd as he'd enter for his match against Gable, the match would start off with KO right away hitting A superkick cannonball and pop-up powerbomb! It'd be A nearfall and Owens would be pissed. Owens would dominate this next section of the match until Gable fights back with A German suplex! Gable would then hit A moonsault for A nearfall! Gable would go for another, but KO gets the knees and then he would hit the Owens breaker, he'd go for another cannonball but then Gable dodges and hits A German suplex! He then hits A dragon suplex this time, and locks in the ankle lock! Owens screams in pain before getting his hand on the ropes. Gable goes for A diving headbutt, but Owens moves out of the way and then drops him with A pop-up powerbomb for the victory!

KO picks up the mic and demands A title shot, RAW GM Kurt Angle comes out and says he can't just give him one and he'll earn it in A number 1 contenders fatal 4 way which is taking place next week! A match also involving the loser of the main event, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley!

Video package for the debuting EC3, it shows off his highlights in NXT including in the NA ladder match and he says he's the top one percent, and he's coming to RAW next week.

the new champ Ronda Rousey comes out, she says she's happy to be the champ of the women's division finally, after she beat Alexa Bliss and finally ender her reign of terror over this women's division, for the past year and A half. She's ready for any and all challengers. Alexa Bliss interrupts and says Ronda got lucky at Summerslam, but she won't get lucky the next time they meet because she's using her rematch clause at HIAC! But then Sasha Banks comes out, and says she deserves A shot more than Bliss does, because all Bliss does is whine and whine and whine and she gets her way because of Mickie and Alicia who help her out, and she also wants A shot. Bayley then comes out and says Sasha Banks is A fake friend who has turned on her too many times to count, and she's had enough of it and that Sasha shouldn't get A shot, but she should because Ronda and Bayley would be A great match. Ronda says she'll fight all of them at HIAC! And next week she'll team with Bayley to fight Banks and Bliss.

A video hypes the NXT 6, it shows how insane Nikki Cross truly is, it shows Lacey Evans big highlights in NXT, it shows off heavy machinery, it shows off the success of Aleister Black in NXT, and the incredible agility of Ricochet and ends with it saying coming soon, the NXT 6.

Match 5: The B-Team (C) VS The Revival for the RAW Tag Team Championships

The Revival start off dominating the B-Team, after awhile the B-Team make A comeback but eventually Bo goes for A Bo-Dog but it gets reversed, SHATTER MACHINE! And the Revival win the RAW tag titles!

Roman is preparing for the main event when Rollins and Ambrose walk up to him backstage and wish him luck.

Main Event: Roman Reigns (C) VS Finn Balor Universal Championship​

Roman and Finn have A great match, Roman and Finn are even throughout this match, quickly Roman goes for A spear but Finn stomps on him in the face! He goes to the top for A coup de grace but Roman dodges and hits A superman punch! Later in the match, Balor and Reigns trade blows and Finn wins this exchange, he kicks Roman in the face and hits the 1916! He goes for the coup de grace and it connects, but Reigns gets his foot on the rope! Finn is shocked and he goes for another but Roman dodges and hits A superman punch! He goes for A spear but FINN STOMPS ON ROMAN'S FACE! Finn goes for the cover but Roman still kicks out! Finn goes for the shotgun dropkick but Reigns dodges and hits A jumping clothesline, Finn falls on the ropes and eats A drive by! Finn still kicks out, Roman is shocked, when he goes for the spear he eats A slingblade and then Finn hits the shotgun dropkick! He goes up top.. coup de grace- NO! ROMAN DODGES AND HITS THE SPEAR TO RETAIN HIS CHAMPIONSHIP!


After the match, McIntyre and Ziggler beat down Roman! Claymore/Zig Zag combo! But then...



ROLLINS AND REIGNS MAKE THE SAVE! They fight back against Dolph and Drew and all 3 of them hit the TRIPLE POWERBOMB THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE ON DREW! And RAW ends with the shield celebrating!
