What it says in the title: what are your thoughts on the Undertaker vs AJ Styles match from Wrestlemania?

Was it goid or no? Would you like to see more of this type of match moving forwards?

It was very good. Beats anything else Undertaker would produce at this point in his life so I think it was all around a hit.

I don't love it as much as some seem to though. I can certainly enjoy stuff like this but ultimately when I watch wrestling, I want wrestling. Matches that take place live in front of an arena. That's my preference. I don't want a show full of stuff like this, because I could probably watch Sons of Anarchy or something instead and it would be better scripted and better acted.

I'm fine with doing matches like this here and there though. For someone like Taker who is well past his prime or even The Fiend who I don't enjoy watching in actual wrestling matches, it's a useful format. The only thing is you need to use it sparingly or else it will lose its novelty and I think less and less people will be into it.

Yeah pretty much this

I will say that my mom who's been watching wrestling for basically my whole life reluctantly and never really enjoyed it FUCKING loved the match, she wouldn't stop talking about it and wanted to rewatch it again the next day. Thats fuckin crazy to me lmao

I fucking loved it, thought it was awesome. I'm sure alot of my enjoyment of it was due to me not being able to enjoy the actual empty arena stuff at all but if Taker was used in similar scenarios in the future I wouldn't be against it at all.

Taker has been awful for years in the ring but if this cinematic style becomes the Undertaker Wrestlemania match for years to come, I'd be all on board for that.

I guess by some of the comments that people thought the funhouse match was better?

I thought Taker/Styles was better than the Funhouse "match." Personally both were fun distractions but I'll always prefer actual in-ring matches even without a crowd. I have watched Taker/Styles thing like 4 times now. Wrestlin' needs to take more chances like this concernin' feuds that are goin' down a direction like this. I think the reason I liked Taker/Styles more is I'm a huge horror movie fan and it felt like a cheesy B-horror movie with better cinematics than most of them.

At first, cause it was a bit different, I was generally positive but not overwhelmingly positive.

Now after watching it again, I fucking loved it.
