The Mandalorian & Grogu theatrical feature has been announced by Lucasfilm, and it will be directed by Jon Favreau.

The Mandalorian and his pal Grogu will be hitting the big screen for their next adventure. Lucasfilm and Disney announced today that the new live-action Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu, is slated to begin production later this year. The theatrical spinoff of The Mandalorian TV series will be directed by series creator and executive producer Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Chef, Elf).

Favreau is also producing the project alongside Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni. The film will be a new chapter of Mandalorian Din Djarin and Groku’s journey.

The beauty of it is... it can still be called The Mandalorian even if the chick replaces Jin.

Also I trust Favreau to make this at the very least entertaining. His only misstep was Iron Man 2

The past Season of The Mandalorian was pretty solid outside a few bumps but I have a huge amount of faith that this will be a good watch.
