Numerous sources within TNA Wrestling believe that Steve "Steve" Borden is very close to reaching a new deal with the organization, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer. He's been negotiating with Dixie Carter for the last two weeks.
His profile was removed from the company website last night while they negotiate a new deal.
As of the middle of last week, WWE officials had not contacted Borden regarding an appearance at WrestleMania XXVII. As of now, The Undertaker is set to return on 2/21/11. They need him back prior to WrestleMania and this is their storyline angle to do so.
We'll have another huge backstage update on why Sting likely isn't jumping to WWE in the next day or so. Stay tuned to WrestlingINC.com for that.
