CHARACTER HISTORY
As the story goes, Vernon Causwell was born in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn in the summer of 1984 to less than favorable conditions. A father that was never in the picture, a mother who struggled to hold down a job due to addiction issues, and years spent bouncing from home to home, relative to relative, and sometimes experiencing extended periods of homelessness. Additionally, Vernon grew up overweight and had a stutter that made him an easy target for his peers’ ire.
The absence of a steady parental figure and a feeling of being a reject from an early age made it easy for Vernon to fall into the gang culture that permeated throughout Brooklyn, the most gang-riddled borough of New York City. He joined a Crip-affiliated gang in his early teens that several of his cousins were also a part of. The approval he would receive for carrying out gang activities drove him deeper and deeper into his life of crime. He would drop out of high school his junior year as he felt his future was already decided for him, thinking he’d continue to rise through the ranks of his neighborhood gang as he had been doing thus far. His astronomical size at just the age of 16 especially made him a menacing figure who could be valuable to gang leadership.
However, that destiny was not to be fulfilled. In late 2000, Vernon was arrested alongside 3 other gang members, and brought up on charges of kidnapping and conspiracy. It appeared at first that the group of criminals might be able to slide on a lack of testimony, but, at the 11th hour, prosecutors were able to convince other members of Vernon’s gang to testify against him in order to reduce their own sentences. Additional charges brought on by their testimony would see Vernon facing severe punishment. This case would send Vernon to the Ray Brook Federal Correctional Institute, serving a 20 year sentence.
Life in prison would further corrode Vernon’s faith and trust in humanity. He was known as a reclusive person who made no friends while on the inside and would not hesitate to handle a problem with anyone who provoked him. Otherwise, he served his time primarily in silence, and would ultimately be released on parole after 12 years on the inside.
Back in society, Vernon would take to working mostly security jobs while serving his parole. During this time, a man by the name of Shabazz Hamad who was finishing up his own sentence for a burglary charge when Vernon went into prison, tracked down Vernon and came to him with a proposition: join the world of wrestling. Shabazz was a retired wrestler who began a career as a manager when he made it out of the pen, and had gone through a handful of unsuccessful clients in the time since. Vernon took to the idea, seeing pro wrestling as a way for him to dole out some punishment and not have to worry about repercussions. In 2015 when Vernon had completed his parole, he broke into the world of wrestling, competing in the indie scene in the northeast, primarily in deathmatch companies where he made an immediate impact due to his size, look, and heartless approach to wrestling. In 2020, he inked a deal to join the upstart XWF as it prepared for its inaugural show.

ENTRANCE INFORMATION
ENTRANCE MUSIC: “Baby I’m Bleeding” by JPEGMAFIA
REGULAR ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
The haunting opening of “Baby I’m Bleeding” by JPEGMAFIA begins over the venue’s PA systems as the lights dim all throughout the place. Shabazz Hamad struts onto the stage wearing an expensive looking suit, and stands still right in the center of the stage. Once the beat drops and JPEGMAFIA begins delivering his brash and incendiary lyrics, the hulking figure of Pariah steps out from the back. Shabazz Hamad steps to the side and holds his arms up, directing everyone’s attention towards his client who stands menacingly looking over the crowd.
Reina de la Cruz: Currently on the way to the ring, from the Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York... weighing in at 472 pounds... he is “The Living Embodiment of Fear”... PARIAH!
The ultra heavyweight takes his time trudging his way to the ring as Shabazz Hamad trails him, shouting at fans along the aisleway. Pariah steps up to the apron, and then enters the ring by stepping over the top rope. He marches across the ring and bounces off the ropes one time before continuing to scowl at all the fans in attendance, awaiting the start of the match.
