IYO #1 contender, Damage CTRL on the rocks, new tag champs & Trish turning on Becky. Trips finally starting to cook something with the women.

I guess whatever article OMB read about Trish turning heel awhile back had some truth to it. I figured as soon as Lita was “attacked” that it would to lead to Trish turning on Becky, but I expected Trish to hit Becky in the middle of the match to cost them the titles.

Good show though, much better than last week.

As noted, last night’s WWE RAW saw a few major re-writes as Monday was an “absolute travel day from hell” for a large portion of the RAW roster traveling into Seattle. Since a number of wrestlers were not expected to make it to RAW in time, this led to multiple creative changes to the show. It was reported on Monday evening that there were also a number of talents en route to RAW, who they were hoping would make it in time, but their segments would be last second additions, if they are able to land and make it to the Climate Pledge Arena in time. Monday was described as a “pretty stressful day” for the creative team as they were forced to basically put together a show with the limited performers they had available.

In an update, a new report from PWInsider notes that Damian Priest, Matt Riddle, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Sami Zayn and RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair were among the unfortunate victims of the travel issues as they had multiple delays and problems getting to Seattle for RAW.

It was noted that around a third of last night’s RAW had to be rewritten due to the travel issues.

To make things worse, many of the wrestlers arrived after they could have gotten to the arena, and went all the way to Seattle only to be booked to return home last night on red-eye flights, so they literally flew across the country only to then turn around and fly right back home.

Zayn and Riddle got to RAW late in the show, just in time to fight with The Bloodline after the main event, which saw Solo Sikoa defeat Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Kevin Owens.

Other planned segments that ended up being nixed were Riddle vs. The Miz and Priest addressing Bad Bunny. The LWO was originally scheduled for a six-man match on last night’s RAW, but WWE went with Finn Balor vs. 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio instead.

The Wrestling Observer adds that SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and The Street Profits were also a part of the delayed travel group flying out of Orlando to Seattle. The Miz also was not at last night’s RAW. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae were never scheduled for RAW, so they were not a part of the affected group. The Observer also indicated that Riddle vs. Miz may have been nixed for reasons unrelated to the travel issues, but that was not confirmed.

WWE acknowledged the travel issues as soon as RAW hit the air with Corey Graves saying some Superstars couldn’t make the show due to travel issues, but the ones there were ready to tear it down.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was not present for last night’s RAW in Seattle, but he did go over the original plans for the show. It was said that there were no massive changes made to RAW because of Vince.

That sucks. Sounds like a major inconvenience. I’d be pissed if I flew from Orlando to Seattle and was told to go back home immediately

Raw last night fell back to normal levels after the giant numbers last week, averaging 1.82 million viewers and drawing a 0.59 rating in 18-49.

Raw was first on cable and was the highest rated show on all of television since the top network show, American Idol, did a 0.56.

The ratings pattern was notable because the first hour was unusually low, the second hour was way up, and then it fell in hour three, so the third hour was almost identical in viewers to the first hour, and it was ahead in the key demos.

On cable, Raw was first across the board. Second place Tucker Carlson did a 0.25 in 18-49, less than half of Raw. Raw's 0.40 in women 18-49 beat second place Summer House at 0.24. Raw's 0.80 in men 18-49 beat second place Tucker Carlson and PTI that did 0.30. Raw's 0.44 with people 18-34 beat Summer House at 0.13.

Raw was ninth on cable in total viewers, behind eight news shows.

Raw was down from last week's post-WrestleMania 39 edition of the show, but that was to be expected. It was down 20 percent in viewers, down 22 percent in 18-49, and down 24 percent in 18-34.

From last year, Raw was up one percent in viewers, up 10 percent in 18-49, and up 16 percent in 18-34, so the audience is skewing much younger than a year ago. Factoring in the loss of cable homes over the past year, the real gains are seven percent in viewers, 17 percent in 18-49, and 24 percent in 18-34.

The three hours were:
  • 8 p.m. 1.76 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 1.96 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 1.73 million viewers
