If you've been watching raw and smackdown the past couples then you would be informed of the curious and oddly intriguing storyline involving Roman Reigns.

In recent times Roman has been battling with the likes of Joe, Drew and The OC. A little bit directionless after hes fued with Shane ended at extreme rules. Going into one of the biggest shows of the year, you would expect wwe would have some plans for their biggest star.

A 'red hearing' fued developed between Joe and Roman at the Raw Reunion. This resulted in Roman scoring a huge victory over a fuming Joe. After the win it seemed that Roman set hes sights for the biggest party of the summer against a yet to be announced opponent.

However a spanner was put in the works on last weeks smackdown as a fork truck accident lead to Roman nearly being crushed and badly injured. It was quite a scare for Roman.

Naturally the finger fell on the likely candidates of Drew McIntyre and Samoa Joe. Two guys that have their problems with the big dog. But with Drew making the point that he has been beating up Roman face to face all year, Joe seemed to be public enemy number 1.

Samoa Joe took major offence towards these allegations, attempting to shut down raw in the process. Rightfully so, there is no evidence to suggest Joe was the culprit. Justified piss and vinger in the big samoan they call Joe.

Vowing to get an apology from Roman, Joe went in hot pursuit leading to an encounter between the two in the parking lot. This lead to a very well put together cut of a car harrowingly missing Roman. The suddenly innocent Joe uncharacteristically offered aid and concern to hes fellow samoan.

Despite all of the lines that Joe has crossed in he's tenure in wwe, he has limits. This is fantastic character building. The man who seemingly had no moral compass is showing that he has a code of ethics and maybe even respect for a fellow competitor and countrymen. Babyface Samoa Joe? Yes please!!!!

In a whodunit storyline like this, you'd expect a degree of fan engagement. This has been ever present on social media as some fans have pointed out that Buddy Murphy was shown to be present in the crime scene on smackdown two weeks ago. This fan engagement influenced what we saw on last nights episode of Smackdown.

Roman showed a bit of he's acting chops when he intensely interrogated the former cruiserweight champion. Buddy said that he saw Rowan.

This is no proof that Rowan was the culprit. All Buddy said was he saw Rowan. Who knows who was operating the forktruck. This is just another interesting development in this crime thriller.

Another important thing to remember is that Buddy said he did not see Daniel Bryan. This could mean the following outcomes.

Rowan was doing Bryan's dirty work

Rowan was acting out on hes own accord with Bryan having nothing to do with it.

It wasn't Rowan and it was just the case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

With the news that Bryan vs Roman has been dropped for summerslam in favour continuing this story (which is fantastic news), let's speculate where this storyline is going to go.

Was it Bryan? Was it just Rowan? Was it someone else? Are we going to see a Joe and Roman tag team? What matches are we going to get out of this?

Personally I believe this storyline has opened alot of doors and could result in some really good wrestling and further develop characters involved.
