Former WWE star Chuck Palumbo posted the following on his Twitter account:

"2 fans asked me how much a wrestler makes over at TNA today, when I told them the "average mid carder"is makin less than 500 a match...no hotels .....they couldn't believe it.. That's before taxes and expenses and paying your own health insurance.... They were like holyshit...we better stay in school.. I said "good idea." That's not a knock on the boys....I respect their passion....the wrestling companies take advantage of their passion!"
Thing I wonder is how he knows this, but gonna assume he just has friends in TNA and that is how he got the info.

Weren't he and Johnny the Bull set to be brought in together, but he turned them down after meeting with them? That led to Johnny coming in as Rellik by himself. I'd assumed that they offered him that much and he told them to fuck off.

Oh yeah I forgot about that but yeah FBI was supposed to be formed in TNA but was held off so Johnny just waited and came in later on. WWE midcard money and TNA mid card money must be worlds apart. But the main difference is the hotel payment, health care, etc.

I know he's made custom motorbikes for plenty of Wrestlers so I wouldn't be surprised if one of them was in TNA and told him, not to mention he's bound to have some friends there.

WWE doesn't give you health insurance persay, but they do pay for your surgeries, rehab, and give you your downside while you are out hurt. That really does make things seem world's apart as I thought that TNA would pay for hotels or give them some kind of discounted accommodations through the theme park at least.

Yeah that's what I meant by health care. That is about as close to health care in wrestling that you'll ever get.

I already knew about TNA not paying for hotels from some reports a while back just good to see it confirmed. After all the stuff these wrestlers have to pay out their pocket they will barley have anything left. I do think the top stars get hotel accommodations though.

In short, you better move to move Florida and put part of your check in a savings account.

Pretty much. Having no hotel accommodations wasn't that big a deal when all they did was stay in Florida. They are traveling more now however so they may want to tweak that.

Splitting a tour bus might not be that bad for some of those guys

You also have to remember that TNA have so many wrestlers that aren't used as often as they should be. A lot of the guys and gals would be making next to nothing there.

I think like half of them are on pay per appearance deals. So if they don't get used they don't eat basically. Taylor Wilde must have been on the pay per appearance deal since she had to take a side job.

Don't the pay per appearance guys also have to give TNA a portion of their earnings from indy bookings as well?
