I was watching the Monday Night Wars the other night, the Kliq episode. It talked about Kevin Nash becoming a WCW booker while he was an active part of the roster and it said how it really didn't work out.

My question to you is, do you think that this situation could even work out? I am talking a full time member of the roster rather than just one who sporadically wrestles like Triple H.

Yes of course. If you're smart, there shouldn't be a problem

Save for the fact that nearly every time an active wrestler is given the book they only push themselves and their friends, refuse to listen to fan response and forget about building new stars. Sounds like a problem to me.

Yeah that's the reason for my "if"

And there's nothing wrong with pushing yourself if you know you're a top draw. Nothing wrong with confidence. Cm punk had it. He knew he was the best.

I guess it could if the wrestler had the company's best interest in mind, rather than his own personal agenda. It really hasn't been great WCW in the past.

Nash really hurt WCW when he was the head booker. Flair didn't do too bad of a job, considering there really wasn't a lot to work with at the time. Was Jeff Jarrett, a Booker in TNA? It damn sure seemed like it, and his run really sucked.

Also, having a father of wrestlers as a booker really hurts the show too. Prime example is Bill Watts pushing Eric Watts to the damn moon, when he was green and flat out sucked! Anyone remember his run in WWF as part of Techno Team 2000? LOL! Also, Dusty Rhodes pushing Dustin as US Champion really wasn't in the best interest at the time. Especially when there were much more deserving and better wrestlers at the time. The only positives was a decent feud with Rick Rude and another with Stunning Steve Austin (who should have gotten the title sooner).
