All three singles champions have quit due to some unspecified "actions". What those are isn't clear yet but all will likely be clear soon.

Kevin Blackwood certainly isn't a fan either:

"that guy" is Marchello "Black Ice" Squirewell, former wrestler and owner of CCW

I follow a woman by the name of Gabby Ortiz that worked for CCW a few times.

She tweeted out her frustration(I tried copying the link but it said the media can’t be embed)

But she said that CCW brought in men wrestlers. And she took that as, the women alone aren’t good enough. Take that with a grain of salt as it’s only one person’s perspective

Figured I’d just screenshot what she posted. Seems as though there were also money issues

thanks for posting that CW, useful info. interesting. I'm guessing this was originally pitched as a womens only promotion so I can see why that would be an issue. Only "problem" I have with that statement is that if it's a women only promotion, I don't see why the CIS part of being male would matter at all.

I think there are a lot of male promoters that have taken a real shining to women’s wrestling have done a lot to help promote the evolution of women’s wrestling so I don’t think that in of itself is an issue, but I will say if they don’t hire women trainers agents that’s where the thing could maybe be a red flag for sure.

This promoter, though sounds like a corny liar, who used women’s wrestling to get people in the door and then stiffed them on the money and brought in men wrestlers? Because that’s obviously not kosher.

Interestingly enough, when women’s wrestling was still mostly shit in the United States, I discovered this promotion called shimmer, and I started to buy their DVDs through the mail, and that’s when my real love of what women could do in the ring started.

I discovered Becky lynch on that show. Which interestingly enough she got hurt shortly after I had saw her and we thought she had to retire. And I was really bummed because I knew even back then she was going to be a star.

It's a shame SHIMMER is no longer around. Did some research earlier, was their closure a result of the pandemic? Or something else.
