Cage Warriors 47 set for June 2 with Hill vs. McGregor, Bielkheden vs. Pendred

Cage Warriors Fighting Championship's busy 2012 schedule continues this summer, as Cage Warriors 47 is now official for June 2.

Cage Warriors officials recently announced the event, which takes place at The Helix in Dublin.

Headlining the card is a fight for the company's vacant featherweight title, as Dave Hill (10-2) meets Conor McGregor (10-2). Additionally, a welterweight bout between David Bielkheden (17-10) and Cathal Pendred (9-2-1) will also take place at the event.

As with all of Cage Warriors' 2012 event, Cage Warriors 47 streams on MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

Hill recently snapped a run of two-straight decision losses with a first-round submission win over David Lee. The four-year pro fights for the second time under the Cage Warriors banner.

Meanwhile, McGregor fights in front of his hometown crowd. The Irish prospect currently boasts a six-fight win streak earned with six-straight knockouts. Five of those results were earned in the first round, including a 16-second win and an eye-popping 4-second victory.

Swedish welterweight Bielkheden is probably best known for a three-fight UFC run that saw him face Mark Bocek, Jess Liaudin and Diego Sanchez. After his release form the promotion, Bielkheden put together a three-fight win streak followed by three-straight losses. However, he recently picked up a first-round win over Edgar Dayan.

Pendred fought to a draw in his most recent outing. Prior to the result, Pendred has earned three-straight wins and is currently 8-1-1 in his past 10 fights.

"Conor and Cathal are two of Ireland's top talents, so to have them both fighting in their own backyard with so much at stake is something to really look forward to," Cage Warriors director Graham Boylan stated. "The demand for tickets for this will subsequently be huge, so the atmosphere at The Helix should be electric, but both Conor and Cathal will be facing extremely tough opposition in Dave Hill and David Bielkheden. This has all the makings of another top show."
