Honestly, I don't think they should touch the series again but if it was to happen like that. I would just have it be Doc created virtual reality machine for that plot. Only for it to end with Doc revealin' it wasn't real but he just wanted more adventure with Marty as he knows he's not gonna live much longer. Probably would work better as just a short film for Youtube though.
