Brian Fritz of Sporting News reported on Twitter that James Storm is leaving TNA. Storm reportedly asked for his release and he will be gone Sunday's Slammiversary pay-per-view. We noted before that Magnus is also scheduled to leave TNA after tomorrow's event.

Fritz tweeted:

Not surprised. Heard Aries' contract is up shortly after Slammiversary, as well.

Backstage News On Magnus And James Storm Leaving TNA, Skepticism Over Possible GFW Invasion

Regarding Magnus leaving TNA, F4Wonline.com notes that he is one of several wrestlers who are facing expired contracts this week. Magnus is not renewing and will be a free agent. He is taking dates with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling and will be working their first TV tapings on July 24th in Las Vegas. As of now, Magnus is not signing with GFW but is working a few dates there. His TNA departure is described as a business move that was amicable on both sides.

It's also confirmed by multiple sources that James Storm will be leaving, as first broken by Brian Fritz of Sporting News. Storm has been talking about leaving for some time and his deal expires on Tuesday.

It should be noted that within TNA, there is skepticism about all the releases because of the feeling that they are being worked for a GFW invasion angle. There's a feeling thatLow Ki's release is legit and while the other departures may be real, anything is possible.

It is worth noting that Jarrett's TV tapings on July 24th from Las Vegas is right in the middle of a lengthy set of TNA tapings in Orlando.

James Storm And Magnus Still Working For TNA?

- While tweeting during Slammiversary tonight, TNA President Dixie Carter was asked about the "major stars" leaving the company, to which she replied, "they are not leaving. Will still be working for us." She also said that both James Storm and Magnus are scheduled for next month's Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando.

It should be noted that Storm re-tweeted the photo below on Saturday:
