    Little cousin started a new game on ruby while I was in a union meeting yesterday. Saved over nine hours of progress. I have a mudkip and a zigzagoon. Time to start fire red instead.

    Which, given their huge stockpile of nuclear arms, terrifies me. In other news, I just beat Flannery on Pokémon Ruby and I'm grinding through the levels to prepare for fighting Norman next.

    Wow. What a backwards world we live in. A slap on the wrist would have been plenty, surely?

    I'm doing yet another Ruby playthrough, then I might move on to a more recent game. In all honesty, I could quite easily finish this play through and go straight back to the start. That's the joy of these games, you just change the pokemon you have in your team and it's like a whole different game.

    It feels so far removed from the pokemon generation that I fell in love with (Ruby/sapphire). Back then, the biggest addition was double battles, not mega z ultima reggae reggae sauce moves.
