It kinda sucked that Finn Balor was just cannon fodder for The Fiend and then took some time off from WWE before returning as part of NXT. I would have loved to have seen The Fiend vs The Demon. Two years earlier Balor and Wyatt feuded and were supposed to have a Demon vs "Sister Abigail" Match...

I really like your descriptions of Ronda Rousey and Natalya, both pretty spot on. Yeah, WWE is too quick with women cashing in MITB. Iyo Sky last year held the contract for like 2-3 months and that was the second longest of any woman behind only Carmella. Looking at Fully Loaded. I don't really...

I'm supposed to be receiving notifications of every new post in this thread, but I haven't been, that's why I've missed a few. I don't really remember much of Unforgiven 2004, reading about how Stevie Richards vs Tyson Tomko came about you'd think that match would go about 2-3 minutes tops. I...

Going back to WrestleMania 34, I, too, it was an overall good show. This was the fourth WrestleMania in a row that Roman had main evented and none of them good matches, though at least the first one had a good outcome. Styles vs Nakamura may have been one of those that could never live up to the...

IYH: Revenge of the 'Taker was the third consecutive PPV in which Owen & Bulldog defended their belts in a match that ended in a DQ or countout (Final Four: Owen & Bulldog lost to Funas & LaFon by DQ, WrestleMania: Owen & Bulldog fought Vader & Mankind to a double countout). Owen & Bulldog would...

If I recall the title match at MITB was supposed to be the contract match until Daniel Bryan got hurt and had to give up the belt and they made it a title match and created another match for the contract. This was right on the heels of the Shield breakup. I've never heard what the plan was as...

Ultimate Warrior as WWF Champion is what made me a wrestling fan. I loved the Warrior back then. It's not very well known, but it was Warrior who was the first to beat Mr. Perfect. That happened a few weeks before this at Madison Square Garden. While it wasn't nationally televised the show was...

I love Finn Balor, but this match is hard to watch because of the crowd constantly booing every time the belt is shown. I wonder if part of what went wrong with the bump that caused Finn's injury was the fact that the barrier is curved and maybe he was used to taking straight on barriers.

Glad to see someone shares my opinion on the Bellas.

Though, from what I understand WWE was pushing for Batista to get the I-C title match against Jericho at the very first one, but fans voted in Shelton Benjamin instead.

I just watched this ahead of this review. WWE clearly stacked the deck with the voting. One of the top babyfaces in the company who's feuding with Orton vs a popular mid-carder and a heel. Can't imagine who fans would pick. This was the third time in four years of Taboo Tuesday/Cyber Sunday that...

I think Mark Henry's title win was WWE's way of saying "Thank you for staying with the company all these years, here's a World Title." Until reading this not only did I not know that Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiase happened on this show, I didn't even know DiBiase was still with WWE at the time let...

Wow, you've been busy the last few days. Royal Rumble '98 is a personal favorite of mine. It was the first wrestling video tape I ever owned. Fun Rumble match (gotta love the three faces of Foley appearing). If I recall there was a phantom entrance which Jerry Lawler claimed Austin had been...

The Tag title match was indeed supposed to be all teams, but if I recall there was something preventing one of the three guys from competing I'm not sure which one. They would do a straight three-way match with the other three on Smackdown a few weeks later with Big E coming out on top to win...

The Edge vs Orton match is the only one I remember and the only one I can name as taking place. I agree that it wasn't the greatest ever but it was great. Edge is my second favorite of all time behind Sting and it was great to see him in WWE in 2020. I remember either two nights before or the...

You could say that Cena vs Rock II was Cena's way of finishing the story ;) Imagine if 1998 WWE decided to turn Marc Mero babyface and give him a big push because they thought fans were cheering for him, but they were really cheering for Sable. That's basically what you've got with Del Rio...

I have to rewatch that HIAC match. A lot of people list that as a bad one but I recall thinking it wasn't so bad. The first few matches, ugh. Two jobbers beating one of the greatest tag teams of all time followed by a match for Stacy Keibler’s "managerial services". Sounds pretty rough, and yes...

First off, welcome back, I hope your friend is doing okay. I've been known to watch this show on Valentine's Day, though this year I opted for the Best of Hell in a Cell DVD instead. I thought the Hardcore Match was quite entertaining overall with an enjoyable finish. The I-C title match...

2007 was not a great time for Flair. In 2006 he checked a few items off his wrestling bucket list competing in a Ladder Match and TLC Match, had that program with Mick Foley, then winning Tag Gold with Roddy Piper. Then, here he is jobbing to Kenny Dykstra. Somehow this is worse than Hogan...

It was either Mabel or Yoko who smashed Taker's face with a leg drop, hence the face mask he wore for a while.
