Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

Exactly, he hired people in the field to do that because he knew he had no business doing that. Something Tony doesn’t understand.

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

Sad state of affairs, instead of a Ted Turner who put his personal feelings aside and simply wanted to do good business, we have a fantasy Booker. If Ted Turner catered to his tastes he’d book GCW 1970’s on Saturday at 6:05.

So cater to less than a million people and fuck everyone else right?
  4. RLStern

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

ProfesWrestling isn’t Actual wrestling though, Wrestling doesn’t happen in a boxing ring, doesn’t have strikes and etc it’s a fictional sport used as the plot for a TV show. They didn’t have short attention spans, they watched every week from 1998-2002, the show turned to garbage and they...

Tell that to Marvel with how they’re getting Raimi cast in new Spider-Man

While we disagree on many things, I completely agree with this post.

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

No people who stopped watching in 2002 are more relevant, because there’s more of them than the total audience today.

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

They did use it, then the product changed its formula. You don’t target to a niche portion of the audience.

This entire post is refuted in this thread: https://wrestlingsmarks.com/threads/managers-cannot-help-wrestlers-who-lack-mic-skill.119062/unread

“It’s their loss”... their loss right? yeah, fuck those 6+ million viewers, and fuck the 13+ million viewer audience who watched WWF & WCW. Right?... ...What’s the matter with you? Their loss? THEY’RE The ones who should be catered to, THEY loved the storyline and character genre of...

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

The niche aren’t true Wrestling fans, they weren’t the ones leading to 10+ million viewers twice a week for the WWF & WCW from 1998-2002. Wrestling should be catered to the mainstream, the WWE stabbed them right in the back when they started catering to the niche with the brand split, pushing...

No, Rock wasn’t the only draw. But you need to have mic skills to draw in the United States, unless you’re a silent monster like a Kane, but even then he had mic skill and they had him talking via voice box a few months into his run.

Yokozuna wasn’t a huge draw :toomanykobes

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

This is a myth that has gone on far too long and I’m thinking of making a thread on it. Using managers for people who can’t talk does not work. People keep citing Bobby Heenan yet every single major draw he managed didn’t need his managing, they could talk without him, Rude, Perfect, Andre...

No one said foreign talents can’t get over, you have to cater and appeal to United States markets to get over in the United States. Andre the Giant is the best example of that, learned English and learned to cut good promos, had verbal charisma, physical charisma and character. In the United...

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

Thats good, but their market should cater to U.S. markets since that’s their main audience.

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

Then he’s lost, WWE’s main base is the United States. What happens in other markets is irrelevant to the United States market. The niche fanatic may care about the other markets but it’s irrelevant in the United States.
  18. RLStern

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

Never said he had zero talent. he has solid lower card talent, but has absolutely zero main event talent, that requires mic skill & character. In no circumstances should he be beating Daniel Bryan. Just like Chris Benoit had zero business main eventing Wrestlemania. Semantics, remove that...
  19. RLStern

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

He’s not, he does not draw huge business for WWE in the US Market, he’s irrelevant. You folks did this shit during the Attitude era, when you pushed for Dean Malenko to get a world title push. Stop. These guys are not draws and will never draw in the western culture/United States...

Daniel Bryan needs to stop trying to get over with IWC.

Cesaro isn’t a draw and he can’t talk on mic, therefore cannot connect with the United States audience that is driven by storyline and character. He’s been on national television for a decade and has not drawn, that’s not talent, and there’s no way you can spin that objective. He’s a good...
