I always feel left out this time of year as I'm not a fan of horror movies. Ah well. Watched Stardust for the first time and loved it. Didn't realise Matthew Vaughn was behind it, that's 4 out of 4 for films he's directed from where I'm standing.

Alas, it is the end of 2014 and year end lists are starting to come in. SO let's start with Empire's. Note that Empire is British and therefore works on UK release dates. 1. Boyhood 2. Nightcrawler 3. The Wolf Of Wall Street 4. Inside Llewyn Davis 5. Guardians Of The Galaxy 6. Edge Of Tomorrow...

Got my flatmate to watch American Psycho last night, he hated it, "3/10" apparently.....

Heard loads of good stuff about it, it's doing insane numbers right now and likely to overtake The Lego Movie has the highest grossing film this year in the UK. Already 5th on the back of two weeks! Gotta try and catch it before it's gone.

Really wanna see Boyhood, probably won't until it pops up on Netflix though. Watched Filth last night, pretty underrated film imo.

Captain Phillips is worth seeing if anyone is contemplating it.

Batista is such a bad ass in "The Man With The Iron Fists". Between that, Riddick & Guardians of the Galaxy, the big fellas acting career is looking pretty good.

Thought battleship was alright, but it's the type of film i see on blu ray for a fiver and still can't convince myself to buy. I wish kitsch was more successful too. If gambit turns up in the xmen movies again i'd like him to keep the part. Sent from my GT-S6810P using Tapatalk 4

Finally saw Silver Linings Playbook, brilliant film. Bradley Cooper was unlucky to have had such tough opposition because that was no doubt an Oscar worthy performance.

I'm not a big fan of the character, but judging by the trailer, it looks a lot better than most TV-to-movie jumps. He's had a bit of a resurgence recently so I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being a decent effort.

He really is right? Definitely his best big screen performance to date.

Well I ended up seeing this last night. First time I've left the cinema happy that I paid for 3D. As a spectacle it's fantastic and exactly what you're looking for in a summer blockbuster.
