    Because it is a great hip-hop song that exposes the struggle of the ghetto youth and the effects that their environment has on them? That could be it, but I am just guessing.

    Honestly, I haven't heard anything of his past 808s and Heartbreak. I kind of fell off listening hip-hop for a while and only started back listening to it like the beginning of this year. So once I listened to them, then I will gladly give my opinion on them.

    His newer stuff isn't great excluding some of his production work, but The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, and 808s and Heartbreak are great.
