    I'm not getting in to the debate, but MVP was lazy and unmotivated. He loved smoking pot and was unwilling to quit and even admitted as much in an interview when he said he didn't mind paying the fines. Why invest time in a guy who isn't interested enough to stop smoking dope to perfect his craft?
