So I have no idea why but in the last couple of weeks I've been REALLY enjoying some Death Metal. Now normally when I need my fix I listen to my favorite albums by Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse & Deicide... but I finally decided to look for some new bands in the genre...and Holy Hell...I have...

  5. Grievous 3D

    Metal, of the Heavy Variety

I'm not really sure why but Morbid Angel have always been my favorite Death Metal band...and through all the highs & lows of their career I will always stick by them. :becky:

:becky: For many years I turned a blind eye towards High On Fire but after their recent Grammy win I decided to give them some time in my headphones. I'm currently making my way backwards through their studio album catalogue & after Electric Messiah & Luminiferous I now find myself listening...

Wow...a Death/Black Metal Super group that is actually good.

I picked up a copy of their Evergreen album today... and its pretty solid. Nothing ground breaking but solid.

  12. Grievous 3D

    Metal, of the Heavy Variety

Paradise Lost may be one of, if not the most underrated metal band in history. Their last couple of albums have been excellent. Check out The Plague Within & Medusa if you get the chance. Man...I'm on a huge Doom Metal kick at the moment... *Thinks* Time to listen to some Electric Wizard me...

    Metal, of the Heavy Variety

This would have to be the best "New" Metal song I've heard so far in 2019... and the album its from is absolutely glorious. Seriously people...you all need to listen to more DOOM!!!

  15. Grievous 3D

    Metal, of the Heavy Variety

Nice...Formulas is one of the most layered & dense albums I've ever heard...but I will admit I prefer the "droning, wall of sound" styles of Gateways more. :becky:
  16. Grievous 3D

    Metal, of the Heavy Variety

Well...I do...when they aren't mixing their sound with dated industrial beats... I'm actually a big fan of the "Tucker Era" with Gateways to Annihilation being my personal favorite.

:becky: (Also...I literally just realized the vocalist is wearing an ECW shirt in this video)
  18. Grievous 3D

    Metal, of the Heavy Variety

Nice...I may end up using it myself in the RWK...eventually...when the time is right... That song would be a sweet entrance theme...so Nice pick...
