Well I doubt you'll be disappointed. It's a great riff on Homer's Odyssey and really 70's-centric.

Another one worth watching is The Last American Virgin. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet. EDIT: Class of 1984 is really solid as well, though I imagine it won't be the easiest movie to find.

Yeah, BHC for the first time should be great. Gremlins is better to watch at Christmas time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Damn straight. That being said, if I'm picking solely based on what I think you'll like the most, it has to be Stand By Me. I think you'll love it long time. Watch Trading Places after though, for the reason mentioned above of course.

    Yeah, Tremors for sure.

Yeah, Estevez can really stretch the acting chops from time to time, he's a good director as well. He's great in St. Elmo's Fire, you should check that out if it's available. Also, it was released in 1990, but check out Men at Work if you can, it's hilarious. It was alright, but I wouldn't...

Well it would have been filmed in the 80's anyway, lol. Good choice for tonight, here's hoping you enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Both great additions, Tremors is a ton of fun and Candy/Aykroyd are an awesome pair in TGO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On the subject of films with "last" in the title, The Last Starfighter is pretty awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know you don't like horror films Dave, but Booty's shout of April Fool's Day is a good one. It's not really scary and has one hell of an ending. Wang mentioned Sleepaway Camp, which falls into the same category, so you may want to give those a shot at some point. Just do yourself a huge...

I do like Lethal Weapon but I can also understand why it fails to live up to people's expectations. It's very indicative of the time of its release, which may also explain why watching it for the first time in 2015 may make it feel a bit off. On the other hand, the second one is a blast so if...

The updated list is pretty perfect. You cannot go wrong with a single one of those movies. Don't forget to add thoughts in here after you watch each of them so we can discuss it like the big nerds that we are.

Should definitely watch Batman at some point then.

I'm just going through the 80's lists from WC (yes, I keep them all) and I see Dave has seen quite a few of the movies we've already suggested. Here's a couple from each year that you didn't nominate, although I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean you haven't seen them... 1980 - Caddyshack...
