SmackDown Live Live SmackDown Discussion thread, August 11th 2023: Austin Theory defends the US Championship

But those building blocks aren't building anything though. He's toiling away working with the people at the absolute bottom of the WWE's totem pole. Nothing is lost to the WWE by having Knight squash the likes of Hit Row and Miz because those guys are worthless, and in all honestly may as well...

SmackDown Live Live SmackDown Discussion thread, August 11th 2023: Austin Theory defends the US Championship

Cool, so you're just going to ignore most of my points and post some arrogant gif... As far as scrawny midgets who spam superkicks go, you're preaching to the quire there. Modern Wrestling has so many issues, but near the top of the list is the abundance of bland charisma vacuum failed...

SmackDown Live Live SmackDown Discussion thread, August 11th 2023: Austin Theory defends the US Championship

How so? WWE has such a long proven history of not capitalising on people who get organically over like LA Knight has. Thus far they've done nothing with Knight either. Lets not forget AEW coming along was met with people clamoring to see the likes of Rusev, Dillinger, etc who WWE wouldn't get...

SmackDown Live Live SmackDown Discussion thread, August 11th 2023: Austin Theory defends the US Championship

You're not wrong. But WWE in the last 2 decades has been particularly bad at this. The lack of competition means they dont have to appease the fans because there's nowhere else for the fans to turn too, except turning off. So they've stubbornly pushed who they want too push and generally...

SmackDown Live Live SmackDown Discussion thread, August 11th 2023: Austin Theory defends the US Championship

Yes the guy who was literally called ‘The Chosen One’ in the first part of his original run, and was singled out by Vince on screen before his lack of charisma, personality, etc made his push untenable was picked for success. Yes the guy who was brought back to WWE and immediately treated as a...

SmackDown Live Live SmackDown Discussion thread, August 11th 2023: Austin Theory defends the US Championship

When I say not a WWE guy I dont mean WWE style or WWE original I mean a hand picked WWE guy. Rollins is a WWE guy for example because he was hand picked to be successful. LA Knight isn't because he was meant to be a go nowhere time filler feud for Bray but got over and lets be honest here...

That for the last 2 decades in WWE when someone gets organically over they tend not to get pushed, rather almost punished for getting over without permission. WWE picks who they want to be over with the fans and pushes them accordingly.

SmackDown Live Live SmackDown Discussion thread, August 11th 2023: Austin Theory defends the US Championship

Nice to see they've finally taken the US Title off of Theory who just does not have 'IT' and still cant get over even as a cocky heel Champion. Should have put the Title on Knight though, but I think we all know they wont really get behind LA Knight no matter what, he's not one of 'their' guys...
