I'll accept that's he's usually more motivated as a heel but other than legend killer Orton I've always been more of a fan of him as a face tbh and his 2011 face run had some of the most consistent ring work from him ever, dude put on fire Smackdown TV matches with Kane and God remembers who else

That 2011 run was probably his best in terms of in ring work just based off his series with Christian alone. He also had decent matches with Mark Henry.

If you want to talk about him being “over”, his peak as a heel was when he was kicking all the McMahons in the skull in 09. But that spring/summer of 2010 when he was white hot was ridiculous. You can argue that he was just as over if not more than Punk was in 2011
