Warner Bros. TV said:
Warner Bros. TV just released the following statement saying that Charlie Sheen has been fired from the CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men":

"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately."

This follows numerous interviews the last two weeks in which Sheen went after the show's creator Chuck Lorre. A week-and-a-half ago, CBS and Warner Bros. TV released the following statement:

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season."

Since then, the interviews have continued and Sheen has started his own Twitter account and his own online show, "Sheen's Corner."

Charlie Sheen reacted to the news with the following statement sent to TMZ:

"This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc**k again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."

This was bound to happen after the comment Sheen made about the creator of the show. Tough decision though because this will cost them hundreds of millions of dollars. I can't see the show working without Charlie Sheen but there hasn't been any word on if they will cancel the show or not.

Is it me, or have Two and Half Men exhausted every joke that they could make, and the only reason you know you're not watching an old episode or a repeat is the fact that Jake is older and not funny.

Yeah this was going to happen sooner or later. I was a fan of the show and unfortunately they will have to pick someone new to play Charlie Sheen's former character.

Nobody could possibly replace Charlie Sheen. As sad as it sounds, Two and a Half Men is done and dusted and will not be remade surely.

Any replacement would just be sad and nowhere near as good.

Charlie Sheen is no longer "winning". The show itself wasn't my cup of tea, since I found it about as cutting edge and funny as Family Guy. Which means I don't like recycled jokes and running gags that got old fast, but are still used.

Charlie Sheen himself better be kayfabing to get out of the show, because thats what I initially thought that was what he was doing. I want to be right.

I've heard ideas in the past where Charlie goes missing in the series and they bring in an uncle to fill in for him whilst Sheen is away from the show.

If they're already shot several episodes, I can't see them scrapping them. Most logical choice would be to replace Charlie with a new character (or go on without him) and then end the show after the current series.

I would see them killing off the character in the most embarrassing way possible.

Atleast thats what I would do.

Having someone replace Charlie Sheen in that role would be a big mistake. The best idea would be to write out Charlies character and then bring in a new character to replace him.

I have read names like John Stamos and Rob Lowe as possible replacements on the show. The show is a massive ratings success so I can understand why they would want to keep it going but maybe it would be best to finish the season and then just earn money from syndication deals.
