Ever since the Mickie James/Trish Stratus feud just before Wrestlemania 22, I've looked at most women wrestlers in a new light. Now, I now it's been a while for me to look up SHIMMER, but my hopes that WWE would give the divas a serious platform rise (Natalya, Alicia Fox, Katie Lea) and fall (Eve) almost on a constant basis. So I looked up SHIMMER because I knew that Kong, Katie Lea, Natalya, and Beth Phoenix all came from there. My question really is though, where do I start? I haven't seen a web show, so the only way I've found to watch is to buy the DVDs, which I don't have money for. Anyone know what I can do?

I'm OK with Shimmer, I just think it gets repetitive after a while. They sell some SHIMMER DVD's at FYE/Best Buy for about $10. But since you said you don't have money to buy stuff, I'd download. For new fans, I'd watch the more recent Shimmer stuff. Tapings aren't really that storyline driven, it's more about wrestling. There's not really anything amazing storyline wise, but feuds/match series are what carries the promotion. There's some non-Shimmer stuff with their roster too, and those are easier to find.

Watch some MsChif, Del Ray and Kong matches from Shimmer for good wrestling. And if you like good looking girls, Ashley Lane and Rain are pretty hot. I'd stay away from promotions like wEw or anything with an X in it, those women's promotions aren't good at all.

Thank you for the links SP.

And Headfirst, as of right now I'm completely impartial to what the women look like. Simply because of years of "hot" women that were shitty wrestlers. So as long as they can wrestle well (and preferably don't have a dumb character, lol), they're ok in my book.

Shimmer is the best female promotion in the US and actually for match quality beats imho both WWE and TNA for there female division
