- Robert Roode has agreed to new terms with TNA. No contract has been sign but they have verbally agreed. As previously reported WWE had interest in Roode and wanted to sign him if no new deal was signed.

- Last night’s TNA Impact received a 1.22 rating, which is up from the 1.1 it drew last week. Kurt Angle and Sting vs. Team 3D angle drew a 1.21 rating, TNA Knockouts gauntlet match drew 1.33 rating, Lethal Consequences vs. Motor City Machine Guns drop to 1.19, and the tag team title match drew 1.14 rating.

- As Jeremy Borash announced on last night’s Impact, a mobile text update was sent to subscribers talking about a new tag team from Japan coming to TNA. The update said the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion would be sending one of their tag teams to TNA shortly with the “TNA contractâ€￾ up for grabs at an event this Sunday. New Japan Wrestling’s holding an event this Sunday featuring a match pitting Yujiro & Tetsuya Naito vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Prince Devitt vs. Jado & Gedo vs. Milano Collection AT & Taichi Ishikari. The winner of the match will be working some TNA dates. A few other TNA wrestlers are scheduled to appear the event including IWGP Tag Team Champions Team 3D, Kurt Angle and TNA Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Inc.

- For anyone wondering, news from a few weeks ago of a female investing in TNA is indeed a storyline. Karen Angle’s name has been thrown out on TV lately, but she appears to be a red herring.

- People behind the CW television series Smallville have been thinking about casting Matt Morgan in an upcoming villain role. The TNA wrestler’s name has come up in discussions.

I actually think it is good that Roode stayed in TNA; not only for him with a great tag team going but in the WWE we already have two guys in the 'money, rich adn etc.' gimmick like Ted Dibiase and JBL.

According to an interview with The Peterborough Examiner, Robert Roode and TNA have come to terms on a new contract. Roode made the following comments…

“My contract is put away and I’ve re-signed for five years with TNA. I’m very happy about it. They wanted to sign me to a long-term deal. Most contracts are one to three years, but they wanted to keep me around for five. I’m quite pleased.

For now, I don’t know what the future will hold for me, but signing the long-term deal is a good sign that in time they’ll branch me off into a singles guy again. There are guys in our company right now — like Kurt Angle, Booker T and Kevin Nash– who are in their 40s and their careers are near the end. Mine is just peaking.

The company is looking toward their future and I think they’ll mould me into one of their spots down the road. We’ll have to see what happens, but I think that’s what is going to be the case.”

More importantly than any of this is that TNA will be getting two more NJPW guys. Prince Devitt would be great.

Fifty bucks says TNA will be dead within five years.

I honestly didn't want to see Roode in the WWE. He has a shot to really shine in TNA, after people like Sting, Nash and Booker hand 'em up I think that TNA will start to give guys like Roode, Storm and MCMG more of a serious push. I would love to see Roode as a heel TNA Champion.
