Who do you think are the most overrated fighters in their division.
For me its

LW: Clay guida he's 5-3 in the UFC out of those five wins he's won 3 decisions 2 of which were split decisions. Alot of people claim this guy is on of the best in the LW division but i think hes pretty garbage, all he does it lay on his opponents for most of the 3 rounds. The one thing that is really good about him is his cardio. Hopefully a fight with sean sherk or Joe Lauzon is coming up so they can expose him for the fighter he is.

WW: Karo Parysian 10-3 in the ufc has gone to decision in 8 of his wins. His win against Kim was very controvesial and i personally thought kim won the fight 29-28. Most of his wins are over mediocre fighters like Burkman, serra and lytle. The one thing the guy has though is Judo, and he is a very exciting fighter. What he's really missing is that KO power and the ability to end a fight.

MW: Wilson Gouvei 6-2 in the UFC he's a very good ground fighter. Black belt in Jiu Jitsui and thats clearly his strong point. Needs to work more on his standup and he would be an awesome fighter. People seem to know his name more than fighters who are much better than him thouhg. He too holds no wins over great fighters and both times he's fought above average figthers hes lost. He has a fight coming up saturday against Nate Marquardt which i personally think Nate's gonna win because both these guys have great ground game but Nate's standup is much better. But a win for Gouveia could be really good news for him. Hopefully he'll be given a few fights against decent opponents in the future.

LHW: Luiz Cane, now don't get me wrong he IS a good fighter but not as good as everyone seems to think he is. He has only lost once and it was by DQ so i don't really count that but the guy lacks experience for people to call him top 5 in his division ESPECIALLY LHW only had 3 fights in the ufc his only loss coming in his first fight to James Irvin. He beat Jason lambert and a Sokoujou who was winning the fight until he gased. The guy has pretty good BJJ and is an exciting fighter. I'd like to see him have a re-match with James irvin and i would love to see him fight Brandon Vera.

HW: Heath Herring. He's one of the most entertaining HW fighters i've ever seen. His 3 fights with Nogueira were awesome but the guy just isn't a great fighter. The only significant wins he has are over Kongo and Evan tanner. He has alot of experience but will always be a gatekeeper in the HW division. Some fights i'd like to see are vs. Cain velazquez and maybe even a rematch with cheick kongo.

^Clay Guida is not an over-rated fighter, yes his wins are not that many; but still his fights are mostly against the best fighters. So imo I dont see him as over-rated; he is more like the upper-midcard if im going to express it this way.

I agree about the other ones though.

Well I'm not saying he's a bad fighter but he's definitely overrated. When people are saying he deserves a title shot he clearly doesn't he's 4-2 in his last six fights which doesn't sound bad but if you look at his opponents, whenever he is given a good fighter he looses. He lost to Roger Huerta and Tyson griffin and his wins all came against people from TUF. And quite frankly none of his fights have been impressive to me at all. It's called Lay and Pray. He fucking lies down on his opponents for the majority of the fight. He had his chance to prove himself by beating Diaz (which he did) but he really didn't do it in dominating fashion. He won the fight by Split decision and the rounds he lost in my opinion where the ones that he was actually exchanging.

Anyways thats just my opinion.

Im not going to express it according to weight classes, in general here are the ones I think that are overrated. (Doesnt have to be still active in UFC, but active in MMA's organizations and is somehow switching between companies now and then).

Tito Ortiz: After losing to Chuck Liddel, his performance lacked heaps. IMO he should not come back to the octagon; it will give a bad impression about his career.
Matt Serra: Relies on power punches, but due to his size; any opponent who is significantly taller than him, he just sucks and loses the match easily.
Kimbo Slice: Ass (no better word to describe him)
Karo: MTG already stated him.
Wilson Gouvea: MTG already mentioned him.
Joe Stevenson: although he is a fan favourite; he loses too easily imo. Yes he fights for living; but he always gets caught in his own game (grappling/submission). That really sucks when you lose in your own game.

I would say tito is more along the lines of past his prime than overrated.

The only one i don't agree with on your list is Joe Stevenson.
The guys a great fighter and i personally think hes fucking underrated. No one's giving him a chance on saturday vs Sanchez. The guys record is 29-9 and the guy is 6-3 in the ufc his losses are to BJ penn and kenny florian (nothing to be embarassed about). He ALWAYS has exciting fights and most of them are finished before decision.

If he wins tommorow against Sanchez i would like his next fight to be against Sean Sherk but if he looses (i hope not) i'd like to see a rematch with josh neer.
