The Wrestling Observer is reporting that officials within WWE appear to be very upset with the Matt Hardy heel turn angle being spoiled on the internet prior to the Royal Rumble PPV. It should be noted that it seems WWE had planned to use Hardy the entire time, as opposed to rumors circulating that Christian was initially intended to be the run-in guy at the Rumble. Although people within the internet wrestling community had speculated the possibility of Matt being the guy to cost Jeff the title, it appears as if WWE is still very upset that the angle was leaked with a high degree of certainty on the day of the PPV.

Well damn. The WWE is angry at a storyline leak. Because you know, thats never happened before....and it somehow totally kills the heat of the feud (if there was any). I guess that means to one up the smarks WWE is going to end the feud early and have Matt Hardy apologize to Jeff saying that he was just angry because Jeff didn't trade him his Charizard for his Blastoise. And Jeff says its ok, I will trade you. Just don't do it again. And they hug, and proceed to beat up Edge.

Kid friendly!

Don't think the storyline leaked on IWF... Did it?

Not per say.

But it was leaked everywhere due to a little thing called common sense. It wasn't hard to figure out that it would be either Christian or Matt who was setting him up.

And that's not a leak. That's your fans seeing through your blatantly obvious storylines.

Personally, I didn't even see a report that said that Hardy was going to be attacker. In fact, I even saw reports confirming that Christian was going to appear.

If anything, indeed, like Monkey said, it was fans seeing through the storyline

I wouldn't even call it that. It was speculation at best. Thats not a leak, thats speculation, just as it was equally speculative to think it was Christian. And had it been Christian, they would have called it a leak too.

I think the "leak" came from PWinsider. They mentioned in the elite section that Matt would turn heel a couple of hours before the PPV.

However, as MS said.. Pretty much anyone with some common sense would figure out (Or speculate) that it was either Christian or Matt Hardy. This Guy also made a good point. Either way, the WWE would be bitching and moaning about a "leak"

As already stated if WWE don't want peeps to guess their storylines, then yeah, they need to be smarter with the writing, but to be fair half the so-called smarks, desipte the way they conduct themselves in discussion about such topics, clearly don't have a very good grasp of the product as it is...

(I tell ya one thing, I didn't notice one person on IWF say with any conviction that they thought the attacker was gonna be Matt.)

Also a bit of a 'catch 22' when considering the primary target age-group for WWE these days! LOL

That said, whether WWE are actually as pissed as this report suggests is another story....

Maybe it's just me, but it could easily be a bit of consolatory backslapping amongst the 'smart' types (i.e. the halfbaked hacks, the so-called 'smarks'...) bearing in mind how many of them were W-R-O-N-G in their reporting/predicitons and allowed themselves to be swerved-the-fuck-up by their own self-assurance.

It's really hard to not get a prediction right if being a smart.

Why?

Because we give about 5 scenarios for every damn storyline, and if one of them happens to be right, then we are damn smart and WWE is predictable.

I mean, how many scenarios have popped in the IWF about Christian Cage's return?

Beat me to it. Great post.

Monkey summed up this thread, if the WWE doesn't want to keep getting pissed about people figuring out whats goona happen... how about this little thing called creative comes up with something more "creative" than a sibling feud.. or maybe a nice twist?

Because then the twists get shat upon by the smark community because it makes no sense. Say WWE starts being "creative" and instead of having it be Matt Hardy, they cant afford it to be Christian Cage because the smarks will find that too obvious. So they throw out say....MVP! Ooohh you didn't see that creative swerve did ya? But then again, we would also complain that MVP was supposed to turn face, and that he was just stayed heel again to "stick it to the smarks". So what is it guys? Do we want swerves to throw us off or do we want predictable storylines that make sense?

The answer is neither, because there's always somebody in the smark community who will find something to complain about with WWE. Its just the way it goes.

I agree with you in the sense of having somebody else in the main event for an extended period of time. I dont mean temp pushes of Kendrick or Kozlov, I mean actually, legitimate, putting over of a rising mid card talent to where they stay in the main event. Jeff Hardy's push has been coming for over a year, so I dont count him either.

Meh, the Hardy heel turn was predictable in my eyes, it was good nonetheless.

Where I was posting at the time of the rumble it was leaked, also the RVD return was leaked.

Damn internet community *waves fist*
