High Quality youtube vids are AMAZING.

I don't know what Smokes could be hinting, there's alot of stuff that could happen with Smokes. With The Vulture Squad gone, I'm hoping it's some high flying guy or someone that doesn't look like everyone else on the roster. It could be Evans, BLKOUT, or something else. "Boy Boy" could be B-Boy, but I'm just being hopeful with that.

^^^My guess is BLKOUT. Jigsaw seems to be back in CHIKARA full-time, Evans is down in Mexico, so my guess is he'll bring in B-Boy, Sabian, Ruckus and maybe Kingston (Who will probably no show :shifty:)

January 29th: On Saturday night we return to the Chicago area with a Pay-Per-View taping titled "Caged Collision". This event takes place at the Frontier Fieldhouse, 9807 Sayre Avenue, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415. Bell time is 7:30pm. This show will feature Sweet N Sour Inc vs. Brent Albright, Roderick Strong, Jay Briscoe, Erick Stevens, & a partner in a Steel Cage War; Nigel McGuinness vs. El Generico for the ROH World Title; Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black vs. Austin Aries & Jimmy Jacobs in a Grudge Tag Team Match; Kevin Steen vs. Claudio Castagnoli; Jerry Lynn & The Necro Butcher vs. Delirious & Brodie Lee; plus more. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show.

January 29: We received a special bulletin from the ROH Booking Committee late last night as it pertains to the huge tag team grudge match coming up on Saturday in Chicago. The bulletin, in its entirety, is printed below.

“It has been close to two weeks since the main event World Championship Match in Edison, NJ between Tyler Black and ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness. Ring of Honor Officials have been conducting interviews in an attempt to determine what, if any, foul play was involved in the 60-Minute Time Limit Stoppage as investigation has determined that the match did indeed end approximately 10 minutes prior to what would have been a legitimate 60 minutes. The assigned timekeeper, Giuseppe di Lorento, was among the first to be interviewed, and as he’s stated publicly, he vehemently believes that his timepiece was registering the allotted 60 minutes when he rang the bell to signal the end of regulation time.

ROH Officials can not find any significant evidence to suggest that Mr. di Lorento participated in any collusion or conspired with any entity to undermine the conclusion of the match in any way. Furthermore, despite rumors to the contrary and seemingly circumstantial evidence, ROH Officials are not able to find any solid connection between Nigel McGuinness himself and the timing mishap. Interviews with David Prazak and Lenny Leonard yielded some interesting information that was ultimately deemed coincidental. McGuinness gave full cooperation to ROH and willingly answered every question posed to him in reference to the event, and regardless of potential motive, ROH Officials can not place blame on McGuinness for what happened. Tyler Black also submitted complete statements to ROH Officials, and while rightfully upset at the outcome of the contest, he could not provide any information that would lead ROH Officials to order a restart of the match, or order a rematch altogether.

ROH Officials realize that these findings will not sit particularly well with those in attendance in Edison that night, or to fans of Tyler Black in general. And while the ROH Booking Committee is not satisfied with the findings of the investigation, they must respect them. That fact, however, does not mean that Ring of Honor will not take action.

The one undeniable piece that contributed to the unfortunate conclusion of that great match in Edison is the melee that ensued with several members of the ROH roster, each of whom has also been interviewed at length. And while ROH Officials find it excessive to penalize each and every person involved in the fracas, they have decided to levy a measure of punishment against the man that started it to begin with. Jimmy Jacobs appeared on the rampway during the contest, which worked as an obvious distraction to Tyler Black & the referee. That action, however, was not of a direct physical nature, that is, Jacobs did not at that point come into physical contact with Black. The man responsible for taking the initial physical action and thereby starting the chaos that ensued was Austin Aries.

As a result of Aries’ actions, ROH Officials have decided to strip him of the ROH World Championship match he earned by virtue of defeating Tyler Black at Final Battle. Furthermore, ROH Officials have decided that the Tag Team match scheduled for this Saturday at “Caged Collision” in Chicago will take on an interesting twist.

The match will still take place; Tyler Black will team with Bryan Danielson to face Jimmy Jacobs and Austin Aries.

The newly added stipulation is this: Whoever secures victory for their team will earn the ROH Title shot stripped from Aries, and they will be able to exercise that shot at the belt at any time or any place of their choosing, with or without prior authorization from ROH Officials.

This means that while each twosome will have to work as a team during the contest, they’re also in essence working for themselves to secure their own personal future. The winner of the match will essentially hold a wild card to “call their shot” at a future ROH Event.

ROH Officials apologize for the unfortunate outcome of what was otherwise a fabulous match in Edison, and hope that in some small way this ruling will right the wrongs of that night. Thank you.”

January 29: Nigel McGuinness will be in action when ROH returns to Florida for “Proving Ground ‘09” on February 6 in Coral Springs. “I have been begging ROH to find me some fresh challengers for some time now”, McGuinness quipped. “I’ve been on record as stating the obvious – I’ve beaten everyone over and over. But, you know, there’s someone I haven’t beaten to a pulp. In fact I don’t know that I’ve even faced him. If I did, he surely didn’t make any kind of impression or I’d remember. That man is Brent Albright. Sure, he’s been a World Champion in our sport, and sure, he’s been at the top of the ladder. But you know, mate, he’s never faced me. Never been in there with a real champion like me. I think I’d like to have a go with ol’ Albrecht – Albright – whatever. Of course I won’t put the belt up against him straight away, but at least those heathens in Coral Springs will be graced by my presence.” When the possibility was brought up that he may not have the title come 2/6 and 2/7, Nigel laughed, “Are you serious, love? That masked Generico hasn’t been able to get it done before, and he won’t in Chicago either.” Before he left, Nigel offered up one last statement. “And I’ve been paying attention to the news”, said McGuinness. “I follow the industry, mate. So I’ve also got my eye on a certain somebody else I’ve never faced, and I think I’ve got an idea for him.”

Money in the bank?

I have a feeling whoever gets the pin in the tag team match will be "cashing in" later in the night against Nigel or Generico. (probably Nigel) But i'm kind of hoping for Jacobs to pull it out to be honest...if I would have to predict though, Danielson will be the title shot receiver in this scenario.

Wonder who Nigel's talking about? :g:

February 4th: Jimmy Jacobs and Delirious seemingly cemented their relationship last Saturday in Chicago. This Friday night in Coral Springs, they’ll have a chance to prove it. Delirious has been a shadow of his former self as of late, with his wins and losses as sporadic and unpredictable as his behavior has been. As Daizee Haze mistakenly drove the spike into the head of Delirious at “Caged Collision”, Jimmy Jacobs took to consoling the masked lizard man as the Haze looked on in utter shock. The question is whether or not this will bring focus to the once-loved Delirious. “I only show Delirious what he already knows to be true,” said Jacobs. “And his loyalty is unbreakable. When charlatans like Necro and Tyler have turned their backs to walk away from the revolution, Delirious has remained steadfast. And for that, his reward shall be ten-fold. His clarity is my greatest glory, and Haze has finally learned that what she has can’t save, yet only enslave.” The first test of Delirious’ new found “clarity” is a huge one, as he and Jacobs will team to face Jerry Lynn and Bryan Danielson in Coral Springs. Lynn scored a victory over Delirious in Chicago while teaming with the Necro Butcher, while Jacobs holds a victory over Danielson as recent as Manassas. Don’t forget that Danielson is still suffering the effects of the brutal powerbomb he suffered at the hands of Bison Smith last weekend.

February 4th: Speaking of the monstrous Bison Smith, he has signed to compete in both Coral Springs and Orlando for “Proving Ground ‘09”. These events will mark the first “official” appearances for Smith in ROH and no one on the ROH Booking Committee knows what to expect.

February 4th: Larry Sweeney made several heated phone calls to ROH officials, claiming that he’s suffered “permanent neck damage” as a result of the beating he faced in the cage to end “Caged Collision” in Chicago. He claims that the Death Valley Driver that Bobby Dempsey leveled him with has left him “physically unable to professionally compete in any fashion” going forward; and he’s threatened to sue Ring of Honor and Dempsey if a monetary settlement isn’t reached. Sweeney will still lead Davey Richards into Florida, facing Tyler Black on Friday in Coral Springs, and just announced, facing Kevin Steen in singles action on Saturday in Orlando! “I’ve got my eyes on Sweeney and the Wolves,” said Steen. And even though we defended the belts against them in Detroit, this is far from over. I want a crack at Davey man-to-man. We’ll see what he’s really made of when his man-pal Edwards isn’t there to watch his backside.”

February 4th: With Steen signing to face Davey Richards in what promises to be a heated grudge battle, El Generico took it upon himself to sign what he thought was an open contract for this Saturday in Orlando. Turns out it was an indeed an open contract of sorts, an open contract to face Bryan Danielson on February 7th! With both parties signed and delivered, Generico and Danielson will hook up in what surely will be a crowd pleaser! As stated earlier, the only question is whether or not Danielson will be 100% physically, and he has yet to comment either way. One thing is for certain, in any event. With this contest we could bear witness to a classic, and the fans of Orlando are in for a treat!

February 4th: The latest edition of the ROH Video Wire is posted here: http://www.rohvideos.com/watch?v=BsPQ4s5niwg.

February 4th: Quick reminder that the BIG TEN SALE ends tonight at 9pm EST. For complete details click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=860

February 4th: We’ll have news on the very first ROH National Television tapings in this Thursday's Newswire! The tapings for the upcoming debut on HDNet will take place on Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st in Philadelphia at the Arena. Tickets are on sale now at www.rohwrestling.com.

Generico vs Danielson should be a very good match.

- February 5th: Ring of Honor heads to Florida this weekend for "Proving Ground 2009" Weekend. It kicks off tomorrow (Friday) night at the Coral Springs Gymnasium, 2501 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33065. Bell time is 8:00pm. "Proving Ground 2009 Night 1" features ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Brent Albright; Tyler Black vs. Davey Richards, World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Dark City Fight Club; Bryan Danielson & Jerry Lynn vs. Delirious & Jimmy Jacobs; Austin Aries vs. The Necro Butcher; Kenny King, Chasyn Rance, & Rhett Titus vs. Roderick Strong, Erick Stevens, & ???; plus more. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show.

- On Saturday night we return to Orlando, FL for "Proving Ground 2009 Night 2" at the Orlando Downtown Recreation Complex, 649 West Livingston Street, Orlando, FL 32801. Bell time is 7:30pm. This event features: Nigel McGuinness vs. D-Lo Brown for the ROH World Title; Bryan Danielson vs. El Generico; Tyler Black & The Necro Butcher vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Delirious; Kevin Steen vs. Davey Richards; plus Austin Aries, Jerry Lynn, Brent Albright, Roderick Strong, Erick Stevens, & more. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show.

- Newly signed, six man tag team action comes to Orlando on Saturday. The Dark City Fight Club will team with frequent Florida cohort, Francisco Ciatso, to take on the team of Roderick Strong, Brent Albright, and Erick Stevens. ROH fans know exactly what Strong, Stevens, and Albright bring to the table, especially after their bloody victory at "Cage Collision". Just what do the DCFC and Ciatso have in store for this trio? On Saturday in Orlando we'll find out!

- Bryan Danielson informed ROH officials that he's not 100% going into "Proving Ground ‘09" weekend, but he's prepared to "give it everything he's got". As we touched on earlier in the week, Danielson suffered a concussion at the hands of Bison Smith in Chicago. "I've been around Bison quite a bit," said Dragon. "Been around him in Japan and elsewhere, and never before have I seen him act this way. Something happened to Bison, and somewhere along the line he decided it was okay to try to maim me. Look at that man, I'm lucky to have escaped serious injury. But rest assured, I'm far from done with Bison. In fact, I intend to make it right."

- Get ready Philadelphia! We're a few short weeks away from the very first Ring of Honor National Television Tapings, coming to the Arena in South Philly on February 28 and March 1. HDNet and ROH aim to bring the newest and best wrestling program to US airwaves, and everyone at HDNet and ROH are excited to be working together to present this to the fans. Already signed for the tapings are Tyler Black, Kevin Steen, Chris Hero, Austin Aries, Jerry Lynn, and Jimmy Jacobs, with many more Stars of Ring of Honor to be announced as we move forward. One of the more unique aspects of presenting these tapings is wonderful opportunity to expose the great competitors of ROH to a brand new audience – one that we concede may not be familiar with the personality and style that ROH is known for. With that in mind, ROH Officials are looking at the initial tapings as a way to bring our new audience "up to speed". On February 28 and March 1, fans will see a sort of a "Ring of Honor 101" up close and personal as we introduce our wrestlers, their personalities, and their skill in competitive matches that may not otherwise be seen on "normal" Ring of Honor live events. There is no telling what matchups we could see during the weekend, but rest assured, whoever locks up with each other will be doing so with an entirely new agenda – to say to the television world – Welcome to what professional wrestling is supposed to be. WELCOME to RING OF HONOR. We hope to see you all on 2/28 and 3/1 in South Philly!

February 9: We’d like to extend a great big thank you to the wonderful fans in Coral Springs and Orlando for two great events. “Proving Ground ’09†served its purpose, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the central Florida fans!

February 9th: As announced earlier today on the main page at ROHWrestling.com, the "7th Anniversary Show" will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Saturday, March 21st. Tickets are on sale now. For a look back at the history of the Anniversary Show read here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2575.

February 9: Executives and crew from HDNet were on site in Orlando and were blown away by the talent that the ROH stars brought to the table that night. HDNet film crews captured lots of footage before and during the event in preparation for the huge National Television Tapings scheduled for Philadelphia on 2/28 and 3/1. This is the kind of opportunity that ROH has waited for and the time is near. Tickets are available for both days at http://www.rohwrestling.com/shoponline.asp?point=products&catid=163. Don’t miss out! This is wrestling history as ROH comes to National TV!

February 9: Brent Albright still believes that he defeated Claudio Castagnoli in Detroit on January 30th. “If Turner (the referee) hadn’t disqualified me, I win, it’s that simpleâ€, said Albright. “He was tapping out, and he knows it.†Castagnoli, on the other hand, had nothing good to say about Albright. “He is a big American oaf. He lost in Detroit because he is stupid.†Kyle Durden was recently able to get comments from both men, and a challenge was issued. Stay tuned to the ROH Video Wire later this week for all the details.

February 9th: There are two new sales in effect this week at www.rohwrestling.com. With the first sale you can save 20% Off your next order placed on the website. We also have a sale where you can save $5-$10 off ALL ticket purchases for upcoming Ring of Honor live events. With any ticket order you can combine both sales to save even more money on your ticket purchase. For complete details on the sale click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2215.

February 9: Are you a musician? Have any interest in National exposure? If so, we can help each other! ROH is in need of original music for the upcoming HDNet television program, and if you’ve got original music that you think would fit ROH or one of its stars, we want to talk to you! We’d love nothing more than to be able to give National exposure to up-and-coming musicians in exchange for your talents! If interested, please email rohhelp@aol.com and let us know where we can hear you do your thing!

February 9: We’ll be back tomorrow with more names for the HDNet Television tapings as well as the big live event in Danbury on February 27th!

- February 10th: El Generico will not be appearing in Danbury on 2/27 nor at the TV tapings on 2/28 and 3/1. He was attacked by Davey Richards after the Orlando event this past Saturday and has suffered a knee injury. Once again the "Wolves" target another knee. Larry Sweeney ignored all requests for comment. Kevin Steen had already left the building when the attack occurred, and he has assured ROH officials that he will be in Danbury and Philadelphia, and he wants revenge in the worst way. We have been told that footage of the attack will be included in an upcoming Videowire.

- ROH Officials are happy to announce that Sterling James Keenan will return to ROH as he will be appearing in Philadelphia on 2/28 as part of the HDNet National Television tapings. ROH Officials are high on Keenan's ability and look forward to seeing what impact he'll make with this opportunity.

- The fans of Danbury will be in store for a top-notch ROH World Title match on February 27. ROH Officials are currently negotiating with the potential challengers to Nigel McGuinness, who defeated D-Lo Brown in Orlando. Several competitors have legitimate claims to a title shot, and we will announce this match before the week is over.

- Sami Callahan has impressed in his ROH appearances thus far, and on 2/27 in Danbury he'll face his toughest test yet as he'll oppose Austin Aries. Aries and his new attitude have rubbed everyone the wrong way, and his odd relationship with Jimmy Jacobs doesn't help. Aries has yet to unveil the "A-Double Manifesto", but assured ROH officials that "Callahan will be lucky if he even gets a mention in the glossary".

- Fresh off their impressive debut at "Proving Ground ‘09", Kory Chavis and Jon Davis – the Dark City Fight Club, will appear in Philadelphia for the HDNet tapings on 2/28 and 3/1.

Not really the smartest idea to leave Generico off of the TV tapings.

It'll be cool to see SJK in ROH.

so when is aries going to cash in his title shot??? He's kinda stupid for him to win it, only to say he's waiting for the right time, apparently Chicago on PPV isn't good enough. Is the TV Tapings good enough? Is the 7th anniversary good enough?l Supercard of Honor 4?

Didn't he lose his title shot to Black?

I dont think so.... At first he was booked at the NJ show in a title match, but came out and said he didnt want it because NJ wasnt worthy of his title match, thus Tyler Black jumped in and said he would fight Nigel tonight.

And now nothing has been said about Aries being the #1 contender....at the PPV he was in a #1 contenders (mitb) like match, which he lost, but i think he still has a title match.

Plus now Tyler Black recently said on the newswire, he wants to hang onto his title shot.

So, yeah. I liked Gabe.

- February 11th: ROH wishes to extend a big thank you to all of the generous musicians who have offered music to be used on the upcoming HDNet show. Several fans have wondered if all of the ROH entrance music will change. Due to copyright law, we simply have no choice in the matter. ROH Officials would love nothing more than to keep using all of the music we've all come to know and relate to our performers, but financially it isn't feasible and we are excited to work with up-and-coming musicians to craft new tunes which will no doubt become as synonymous with the ROH stars as the music they currently enter to. Should you have a submission or a suggestion, please send it to rohwayne@gmail.com, and once again, a huge thank you to those who have provided the countless submissions we've received thus far.

- ROH is happy to announce that "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush has signed and will compete on 3/20 in Elizabeth, PA and on 3/21 as part of ROH's "7 Year Anniversary Show". ROH is also in negotiations with other high profile talent for that weekend. Stay tuned.

- The Necro Butcher and Brodie Lee couldn't settle anything in Detroit as their match turned into a brawl and was ruled a double-countout. Since then, Necro gained a small measure of revenge on the monstrous Lee as he and Jerry Lynn were victorious over Lee and Delirious at "Caged Collision". That measure of satisfaction is apparently not enough for Necro as he has contacted the ROH Booking Committee and demanded another match with Brodie Lee for 2/27 in Danbury. And this match should bring Necro closer to the conclusion he's seeking as it will be an Anything Goes Street Fight! Brodie Lee showed no fear by accepting the match without hesitation, and on 2/27 in CT, the fight will rage on!

- Based on the comments from both men on the recent ROH Video Wire at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj9LkFwKi9Q, and the challenge issued, a Grudge Match has officially been signed for 2/27 in Danbury, CT between Brent Albright and Claudio Castagnoli. Albright is out to prove that he can tap Claudio anytime he wants, while Claudio is out to show his own dominance. Tickets are now at www.rohwrestling.com.

- More names have signed to compete at the very first ROH and HDNet Nation Television Tapings in Philadelphia on 2/28 and 3/1. Fans in attendance will see: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, Eddie Edwards w/ Larry Sweeney, Jay Briscoe, Kenny King and Rhett Titus, Cheech and Cloudy, and just confirmed, current ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness! Don't be left out, tickets are available and on sale now at www.rohwrestling.com. This is what the fans of ROH have waited for, and we're a few short weeks away!

- We have it on good authority that Kevin Steen has reached out to someone unexpected and hopes that this person will help him take the fight to Sweet-N-Sour Incorporated on 2/27 in Danbury. Larry Sweeney will have one ½ of the American Wolves in Eddie Edwards, as well as "That Young Knockout Kid" Chris Hero, who is fresh off a tour of Pro Wrestling NOAH, in attendance. More on this as it develops.

- Only 2 days remain in the current ticket sale ongoing at www.rohwrestling.com. You can now save $5-$10 Off all Ring of Honor live event ticket purcahses. On top of that, save 20% off your entire shopping cart. For complete details on the sale click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2215. The 20% Off sale is good on DVD's, tickets, apparel, & more. The latest DVD release from Full Impact Pro in Florida is "Fallout 2008" from 10/11/08. This show features Go Shiozaki vs. Roderick Strong for the FIP Heavyweight Title; Kenny King & Jason Blade vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe for the FIP Tag Titles; Erick Stevens vs. Tyler Black in a #1 Contender's Match; plus more. Order this DVD in the "New Release" section of the site.

As we noted over the weekend, a camera crew from HDNet were at the Orlando, Florida event over the weekend. At the event, they were shooting footage that will be used for commercials to promote the series on the network as well as familiarizing themselves with shooting professional wrestling from ringside. The ROH series will be post-produced at HDNet's production facilities in Denver, Colorado.

There will some ROH changes with the debut of the series. TV tapings will be exclusively done for the HDNet airings and won't be immediately released on DVD. I have heard HDNet will have exclusivity to the TV footage for a period (one source stated one year, which I am unable to 100% confirm), which is fair. If they are producing the series, they should be able to have exclusivity to the footage. The hope within ROH is that the new audience will want to seek out ROH DVDs and PPVs, with an interest in not just the current product but also the company's back library of DVDs. Down the line, ROH can always try and release the series in some sort of box set form as well.

I can see some ROH fans being upset about this, but if they are, it's from a selfish point of view. The reality is this is the start of a new era for the company and one that they needed. After seven years, they had to have a television outlet or else there was no other way for the company to grow. When there's no growth, it's just a matter of time for the inevitable. Whether the new deal sparks ROH's business immediately or not, it gives the company a larger viewership than it will ever have before and also provides them a chance to learn, via trial and error, how to produce a weekly series while building a track record for the ROH brand. That is far more important than fans being able to buy *every* show on DVD in chronological order. Fans cannot look at it as just their ROH anymore as the company will have to work with and answer to business partners and make compromises that in the end, will hopefully be positives for the long-term viability of the company. ROH has been hand to mouth for seven years. It has to grow - with that will be some growing pains, but it has to grow. The alternative, especially in today's economic environment, is ROH running the same treadmill they have been on until financially, they are out of gas.

There will also be changes to a lot of the wrestler theme music due to rights issues. ROH issued an announcement earlier this week that they were seeking bands who were interested in having their music utilized on the HDNet series and if so, they could contact rohwayne@gmail.com. In my mind, every theme song can be changed except for Bryan Danielson's as his entrance to Europe's The Final Countdown is almost iconic at this point.

Talent announced for the weekend of the first TV tapings on 2/28 and 3/1 in Philadelphia, PA so far are ROH champ Nigel McGuinness, Bryan Danielson, Tyler Black, ROH Tag Team Champion Kevin Steen, Chris Hero, Larry Sweeney, Austin Aries, Jerry Lynn, Jimmy Jacobs, Eddie Edwards, Jay Briscoe, Kenny King, Rhett Titus, Cheech and Cloudy, Sterling James Keenan, and the Dark City Fight Club. For ticket information, visit www.rohwrestling.com.

====================================================

I don't have a huge problem with this, but ROH should consider the financial loss of a lack a DVD's being availible to fans. Secondly, i can only imagine how screwed up the storylines will get between releasing the dvds/ppvs/tv.
