Umaga made his return at tonight's Smackdown tapings from Indianapolis, Indiana. He defeated Jimmy Wang Yang in a match that will air on this week's Smackdown. Umaga has been out of action since August 2007 with a torn PCL. He was cleared to wrestle by doctors but WWE officials wanted him to lose weight before he made his TV return.

Umaga vs. Jeff Hardy on Smackdown would be hot. Remember the Steel Cage match from Raw last year? Perfect contrasts created one of the best television matches from 2008.

I can only see three prospective fresh fueds for Umaga on SD....

Taker.... Too soon after a return... After WM please. Have Umaga take at least one victory and have it end in HIAC.

Kennedy... I really hope this isn't their returning fued cos it just spells job for Umaga straight outta the blocks... He needs momentum if he's gonna make an impact and seem a plausible threat to Taker.

R-Truth... Time for Mr Killings to find out what's REALLY "up"...

So yeah, I'd say Truth is the best bet for his first full fued - i.e. he can actually win it - but I think we'll see Umaga squash a bunch of guys over the coming couple of months (Start running Yang, Funaki & Helms!), maybe sneak a spot in MITB or otherwise miss WM completely and slowly progress to the upper-midcard as we approach the summer months.

Yeah umaga fights Wang yang this week and funaki next week. I say after that he costs taker a match on smackdown, nothing comes of it til after NWO. Then smackdown after umaga does the same thing to taker then sets up a feud for wm25. He has new music now and lost a bit of weight so a new umaga cmon UMMAGAGAGA!
