Old news :shifty:

I have the channel, so I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully it won't be like the deal they have in Canada (I think with the Fight Network) where all they do is show matches from the older shows.

What I like about the deal with HDNet is that it's run by Mark Cuban. So knowing how "different" he is, I don't think he'll try to change what ROH is for the TV Show. So we probably will be seeing the real ROH, not something like Wrestling Society X.

it's all a good thing for ROH, IMO. I don't see anything wrong coming out of this deal. So yay ROH.

Does anyone think ROH will actually make it for the long haul? I'm not convinced. ROH prides itself on providing the best wrestling and athletic ability, but as Shelton Benjamin proves, that seems to be a niche market for today's wrestling fans.

There is a niche, just not with the casual wrestling fans, which happen to make up a majority of fans.

The thing they really have to remember is that they arent the WWE. They don't want to pull a TNA and alienate their existing fanbase.

ROH actually has some pretty good all around talent. They have entertainment based characters, and they aren't one dimensional like Shelton. Well some are. But really the biggest difference was the style of roh. Hard hitting, match wrestling, crazy high flyers, insane brawls. The wrestling product is superior. Now that ROH has TV, there product has already been watered down, just a sprinkle, on certain shows. I dont think anyone is expecting much out of this, however its good for ROH to get its feet wet, so to speak.

I'm curious as to what they will show on the weekly show. I think Adam Pearce as booker, concerns me slightly. However he puts on a good old school product.

We won't even get it in Australia :)() but I'm glad to see Ring of Honor getting a TV deal.

Who else expects Impact to get trounced by yet another show?

Am I the only one who sees this as a bad thing for ROH? I can really see this leading to them taking their product in the wrong direction.

^^^I don't see it that way. HDNet (And Mark Cuban) thrive on having hard-hitting shows on their network. If anything, I think they'll push for a more "realistic" product, as it relates to the in ring action.
