So, RVD was a suprise entry in the Rumble....

Suprised to see no-one mentioned it here thus far - I thought peeps were well up for his prospective return...

He looked really rusty to me (which isn't completely suprising if he's not been in a ring for the best part of two years), not to mention a little out of shape...

Anyone know if he's been competing on the indies at all since he's been away?

SO...

Do ya'll think this was just a one-off appearance seeing as he's a Michigan native or do you think he'll begin wrestling regularly for the WWE once more?

You know I never saw the Rumble, I am going to see it though and I just read who won each match with results.

But now I find out that RVD was in it, I just hope that he isn't sent to ECW because he would suit Raw quite well now with the IC section with Punk, Rey, Kofi and Regal.

But answering your questions, I think it was meant to be a one off thing otherwise they would have advertised it and promo's. And if the WWE were impressed with his reaction and how it went down than maybe he will get another contract for an X ammount of time. (which I hope).

Also I don't beleive he was in any indie shows which is why he probably looked rusty, though if they do sign him it will not take long to get back into things. Remember Gregory Helms when he came back in November for the first time in nearly 2 years. He was overweight and could barely do the Shinning wizzard correctly but now he is doing great with Benjamin with their recent matches.

Hmm... It was probably just a one off appearance. But I never expected him to be in the rumble, and when he came out? I was like: "OH MY GOOODDD!! IT'S ROB VAN DAM!!"

I wasn't excited at all tbh, the crowd and announcers just didn't build the situation well enough.

They were supposed to scream on the top of their voice.

But sadly, they didn't.

Pop of the night should have been when Dolph Ziggler came out. And he should have shook hands with everyone in the ring. (if he did I would lol I am yet to watch it.)

It's a one-off thing. He returned at the 15th Anniversary and nothing happened. He was just a surprise entrant.

He's wrestled a few times for the NWE, the Spanish promotion that hosted Ultimate Warrior epic return.

I thought it might be a full time thing until I learned it was in Michigan. I'm pretty sure it was just a one time thing, to give the fans a thrill.

RVD shouldn't have been the last elimination, as pretty miuch everyone was expecting either Christian or Batista. RVD would just had been a let down.

Ninja, quite frankly, if you would bring back RVD to fight for the IC Championship, it's better he stayed away from the WWE.

And yeah, he looked rusty, kinda lost, and tentative
