Breaking News: Ric Flair to appear at HOF and WM (confirmed)

It has been confirmed that WWE came to terms with Ric Flair to appear at the WWE Hall of Fame to induct Steve Austin as well as make an appearance in some fashion at Wrestlemania XXV. The deal was reached earlier this week.

Well, firstly, Stone Cold did say in a radio interview that he wanted Flair to do it.
As for why? I'm guesisng because when Flair was being inducted, he called Austin the greatest draw in wrestling history, and so Austin htought that was nice, and wants a guy he regards as the best ever to induct him.

I also think JR, but Vince = no no, it would just turn into a Stunner and a few beers and a gimmick induction where they just talk about their rivalry.

No it wouldn't. The Hall of Fame is different. Correct me if I'm wrong but there's next to no kayfabe at the Hall of Fame.

JR would have been the perfect choice.

Flair can induct somebody else.

I agree. When they announced him for the HOF for person who came to my mind to inducted him was JR because there real good friends. Flair should have been used for someone else or w/e.

I think everyone would have thought JR would be the one to induct Austin. Will be nice to see Flair with the WWE crowd. And I don't watch the HOF either, but I did watch the one last year just for The Rock appearance.

Cant they have multiple people induct someone? I was sure Eddie Gurrerro was inducted by Rey, his widowed wife, and Benoit.

I also thought JR would be top choice to induct Austin. I though Flair would be left for either or both HBK or Trips.(probs still will) Oh well never mind. Be nice to see Flair again. Plus Flair will draw more Rating if he is involved in some part of WM25 aswell.

Austin grew up idolizing Flair (Despite making fun of him during his ECW run), so its no surprise he wants Ric to be the one that inducts him.

Austin chose Flair because he views Flair as the best that the business has ever seen. He wants someone that he respects that much to induct him.

In the end, it's Austin's choice. We can debate all we want about who we think should induct him, but at the end of the day, that choice belongs to Austin.
