The UK's Sun has an interview with MVP today, which took place during his media blitz of the country last week. In the interview, MVP admits being overly confrontational backstage may have cost him his spot in WWE, but noted he has learned from his mistakes and will come back stronger.

"I tend to be extremely passionate and very vocal. I've had experiences in my life that cause me to be a little more confrontational than the average person," MVP said regarding issues backstage. "Sometimes if I'm confronted with an issue, rather than say 'this isn't worth it', I'll get a little hot headed and speak up and say something that I probably shouldn't say. Although I'm not saying that's why I'm going through what I'm going through – because in the end it's a storyline."

On being "the next big thing" this time last year, MVP said, "Maybe that was the problem. Maybe I got ahead of myself. Whatever the case I learned a lot in 2008 and much of what I learned I'll apply to 2009. Hopefully this year will be my ascension to the throne."

MVP spoke out on his immediate future in WWE. "There's an old saying that you don't have to go over to get over – and I think I'm doing well. And as of the next airing of Smackdown, there's a pleasant surprise for everyone regarding MVP," he told The Sun. "I'm turning the corner."

MVP also spoke out on Chris Benoit, who he feuded with in 2007. "In spite of the tragic tragic ending and the unspeakable things that happened with Chris Benoit, he had a huge influence on me both personally and professionally," MVP said. "I can attribute a lot of my success to the interest he took in me."

Hopefully he's paid his dues enough now, and with him finally iwnning a match, he gets rewarded for it.

I still dont know how someone could take jobbing to Khali, Funaki and Kizarny and not freaking snap.

He's a better man than me indeed.

^^^It's not real u know! ...He didn't really LOSE. ;o]

Seriously, you don't think you'd have fun being paid as a jobber?

Sounds a million times better than your average 9-to-5 or office-job bullshit!

I think it'd actually be fun to do the whole "losing streak" angle. I think a guy (with the right mindset) could have a lot of fun with it.:paperbag3:

With that being said, I'm excited as hell for the "turn" which I'm guessing is a face turn. That's good news, if it happens, because Smackdown needs fresh blood in the main event card. I know he's not going to go straight to the main event, but upper card can't be that far off if he succeeds soon.

I think it's great he didn't snap because it showed that he was willing to take his punishment like a man. He knows he messed up and paid the price for it. Same thing happened to Triple H over the infamous MSG Curtain Call incident.

Spiralshock history lesson-The year is 1996 the monday night war is in full swing. WCW struck a major blow by signing away two of the top stars of the WWE-Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) and Diesel (Kevin Nash). On their last night in the company they had matches against real life friends Triple H and Shawn Michaels, respectively. After Shawn Michaels defeated Diesel Razor and Triple H came out and all four men embraced in the ring essentially breaking kayfabe. Even though this was on a house show and not televised (at least officially) WWE officials still felt it was necessary for someone to be punished. Razor and Diesel were on their way out, Michaels was the WWE champion so he was out so all the heat fell on Triple H.

That's good. He knows he messed up, toke his punishment like a man, and learned from it. I just want to how he runs with it and what 09 has in store. I guessing a new man will be added to the list of World title reigns.

^^^Not enough high spots for ya?

MVP is good in the ring, superb on the mic, gets good heat as a heel and upon recent evidence can endear himself to the fans as a face... and has that X-factor tat gels it all together... What's there to hate?

Oh, wait... You said "Blind" hate.... Now, I understand.
