While everyone else loves to bash Holly, I think he was very good at what he did. He was the worker who was good to work with young talent, and was fairly versatile in who he could work. Was he ever going to be a star? No, but he was good at working with and developing younger talent.

I'd have agreed with you until it came to light that he had deliberately injured one of said young guys...

While I'm not sure who it was he intentionally tried to injure, and while I certainly wouldn't excuse that behavior, it's not like it's exactly a new thing for older veterans to stiff younger guys. Hell, it used to be a right of passage in wrestling.

So, while it isn't excusable, it's not exactly uncommon either. But what you can't deny is that Holly was very adept at working with younger guys in the ring and covering their mistakes, when he wasn't being an ass.

I am aware of the old-school ways, but look at it this way, these guys are VKM's investments... Holly has no real 'right' to fuck with them.

I can't recall the guys name, but he intentionally broke the arm of some guy(*) that was about to debut and win the Cruiser title from Chavo when they ended up giving it to one of the divas(*) instead.

(*TBK'sBiceps should be able to fill the gaps here).

'Twas Matt Capotelli. Wewt for my Holly hating knowledge.

Anyway, the young'uns need not fear. The WWE locker room still has JBL running around to 'break' them into the business. :shifty:
