I would not want to see it. Match would be downright horrible.

It would be fine if they gave it a stip, like a hardcore match or something.

Everyone though Hogan vs Vince was going to be terrible too.

It doesn't need to be a great inring performance. The fact that it is a match between the two biggest wrestling stars of all time for the first time is worth the price of admission.

I'd rather Hogan v Austin than a match where Orton (for example) has to bust a gut trying to make a physically past-it perfomer seem credible.

+ your average fan would lap that shit up in a nano-second!

...I say go for it.

I know both of them can't put up quality matches at this stage but if it happens, this will be historical.

LOL.... I've been saying that since '93, but I'll make do with no present/future top guys having to job for him like Orton did in '06.

I would be perfectly happy never seeing hogan wrestle again...ever.

What's wrong if Hogan agrees on loosing a match to Steve Austin at WrestleMania? Absolutely nothing. I mean we had Chavo vs. Kane for the ECW Championship as well. :shifty:

^^^"Wrong?"

Where did I say it was wrong...

1. The logic-orientated, bigger-picture-appreciating part of me understands WHY it'd be a 'money' booking. (Which is why I said above "I say go for it.")

2. Personally, I haven't ever particularly enjoyed Hogans work... (Another thread for that. ---> )

(C'mon dude, read the thread properly if you're gonna question peoples posts... That's prime TTS behaviour... And having to explain things that don't warrant it is highly fucking annoying!)

You obviously didn't get that right. 'Wrong' in the sense that what's so bad in Hogan doing another match if he agrees on putting Austin over?

It's big money but imo it's useless. Austin would be far better served in a match with a current star who could use a rub. And from what I understand he wouldn't have any issues doing it for the right guy.

And before anyone says it stfu about Kennedy.

MVP vs Austin where MVP snaps the losing streak >>>>>>> than Hogan/Austin imo.

It would be a huge seller though Orton / Austin or MVP / Austin would be much more interesting and much more profitable in the future with those stars getting a "Rub" off of the Legend.

Though whatever they chose, they have to start hyping and promo-ing it up soon cause it's already around the time of the Rumble.

I understood your post just fine. Now please don't respond to me again until you can say the same about mine...

@ MS... I think that'd be cool as long as they found a good way to 'write' the two guys together to start with.

Hogan v Austin simply is what it is... The 2 biggest ever... one-on-one.

It all really starts with getting Austin on Smackdown as opposed to Raw, which is hard to do because there is really no precedent. I was thinking maybe have him announce that he's inducting someone into the hall of fame. Maybe the joke entry this year can be a name jobber from the 80's. During the segment Austin makes comparisons between said jobber and MVP. The rest writes itself fairly easily.

To give more background on the jobber inductee I don't know who, but someone more or less cut frm the Barry Horowitz cloth and Austin inducting would be more of a roast type idea of a friend and colleague as opposed to the typical entries.

I know it's not very good but that's what five minutes of thought will get you.
