 The show will be one hour long and air every Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. EST on WGN America. Of course this means the show will air one hour before TNA Impact on Spike TV, not to mention right after the conclusion of Impact. A replay of the show will also air every Saturday at midday.

- You can expect to see the show for a while as WWE and WGN have signed a two-year deal for the program.

- Regarding the actual content of the show, it looks like it will be a showcase for the mid to low end performers of WWE who have trouble getting on Raw, SmackDown and ECW (such as D-Lo Brown, Scotty Goldman, Ricky Ortiz, Goldust, Jamie Noble, etc...). 'WWE Superstars' is being billed as a "first run" series, indicating it will not be a recap/magazine style of show, which pretty much leaves it being a program featuring all-new matches. Also, the show will feature Superstars and Divas from all three brands, so it won't be a brand exclusive show such as Heat and Velocity.

-- WGN's parent company The Tribune Co. is paying a licensing fee to WWE for the show.

So its the crap talent? Lets just call it FCW Superstars and have that be it...

I completely forgot D-Lo's back with WWE til I read that. I hear that Scotty Goldman (I think he's the one that's Colt Cabana) is pretty good so maybe this will showcase it. It should be a interesting show though, it's going to be a jobber vs jobber so the outcome of the matches wouldn't be as predictible as some on the other shows.

Drafting the lower guys to ECW and extending it by an hour would be a much better idea IMO...

Any show that could potentially be main evented by Colt Cabana vs James Gibson and undercarded by D'Lo vs Paul Birchill is NOT lame. imo.

who wants to bet it still gets higher ratings on a semi regular basis then Impact? lol.

Anyways, it is all original matches featuring stars from all 3 brands. Most likely will be a mix of matches taped before Raw & Smackdown.

Anyways, needless to say, WWE Superstars will count for the GM Pool next season.

That's what I was thinking. I don't understand how this is not a great idea. Maybe now we can get some actual wrestling instead of stupid hit and run angles and nude pictures for Christ's sake.

I really like this idea. WWE Superstars who do really well would be brought up to ECW, and after that they can move to smackdown or raw respectively. Its almost like having a developmental show on tv, which is awesome.

Love it. I always thought heat and velocity was a great idea. Remember how some of the best matches have happened on those shows? Regal & Benoit, Akio & London, and it also featured Bryan Danielson! These kind of shows can't really go wrong, as it is giving the people exposure to talents that we aren't able to see on weekly programming because that is when the "big guns" come out.
