I believe it. I kinda figured with the whole punt thing.

But yeah, indeed an early Christmas. Maybe he won't be so retardedly stale when he returns.

VIVA LA PUNT!!!

If this = no Batista @ WM then let the party begin!

If we end up with Cena vs Orton @ WM I have no problem with that. As many times as we've seen them face off it's still preferable to seeing big Dave's 'roided up ass in the ME.

That said, I predict a 'miraculously' early return... This is Veee Animaaaw afterall! :raaaaaaaaaaarrrr:

YES!! Age of Orton will live at WM 25

Will someone replace him on the ME scene, or not?

I was thinking the same thing. In the ME you now have only Cena as the face, Orton and Jericho on the Heel side. Then the upper mid-card, it's HBK and JBL, maybe Kane. Who would they move up to the ME scene that would be credible?

Cena vs CM punk maybe

If they have this as the ME for wrestlemania, I won't be ordering the ppv. If they have a Cena vs Punk at all at this wrestlemania, I won't order it.

^^^You all but answered your own question.... From the current Raw roster it would obviously be Punk to step up into the ME.

That said, there's no immediate need if Cena remains champ... Rather than faces, if Cena retains beyond WM more heels would be required.

I share your lack of desire to see Punk/Cena though... Well, that is at least until such time that they've built him up enough to be a
plausible challenge for the man from West Newbury anyway. Right now, in kayfaybe, Cena/Punk would be a total annihilation.

That's what my main problem with Punk is, well was anyway. I don't think he was ready to ME before and don't think he is now. That's why I've started liking him now cause they're building him up. He wasn't ready then, and to me his reign sucked. Blame it on him, blame it on creative, blame it on the bookers, if they thought he could do it he would have been booked better, creative would have wrote better. But then when he was the champ, and now at the moment, I don't think he's a credible ME contender. He's doing good now being built so he'll be credible which is good.

And yes your right they would need more credible heels IF he retains after wrestlemania which I don't think he will. If it is Orton vs Cena at mania, Orton needs to go over. But if he doesn't Orton would get his rematch clause at the next ppv and probably win. But if it's only 1 face and a heel wins the title, then it will only be Cena that challenges for the title. I doubt they'd do a heel vs heel match. So as much as they would need more heels to go for the title, they would need another face more.

Well that's a lot of "if"s and "but"s... I guess we'll have to see who ME's WM first.

As already mentioned, I'm half expecting an early return from Batista (there's also the prospect, however likely/unlikely, of him returning heel to face Cena... Or as a face to fued with Orton if he captures the gold).

IL put money on him been back for wm whether he competes is a diff matter. There is worse injuries to have a lot worse. Its not a nice injury to have by any means but depending on the severity he could be back in 2 month if not before. Like a said id put money they make it out to be worse than what it is, And BANG he is back quickly and into the main event title scene.

If there was an early surprise unannounced return from Batista, I don't think it would be as big as Cena's was at the Rumble. So I'm going to enjoy Batista vacation while it last.

I could maybe see Punk in the ME by the ending months of 09, October at the earliest, but now at the moment, he needs to build up credibility.

At NWO during the EC match while Orton is in a chamber
