As we near the end of the year. We've had a few shocks this year as in things you didn't see coming. It can be anything that happened in sports, news, wrestling, here, etc.

For me it would have to be that it took John Cena forever to win the title this year.

Let's start with sports.

1.The Hawks making the Playoffs, and taking Boston to 7 games.
2.Tampa Bay Rays... That is all.

I guess the gas prices outweigh the rest, lol. It's funny how oil prices were "at record highs" so they raised the price of gas to accommodate, but every other day you hear "oil companies break records on profits." Hmmm, if they're hard pressed, how are they breaking profit records? I hate oil companies.

Man, the economy thing is being so overhyped here. It hasn't affected us nearly as much as the US, but bloody hell they're going nuts about it here.

The economic crisis was a shock? Deutsche Bank was predicting a worldwide bog 5 years ago. And the US housing industry was spawning a crisis last year.

Sarah Palin's appointment was a shock but is minute compared to the blunder that eventuated with it.

The death of Heath Ledger was an enormous shock. Beijing 2008 a reasonably smooth success is another.

Guns 'n' Roses actually releasing Chinese Democracy, and doing so exclusively at Best Buy. How shocking and weird.

Bernie Mac's death. All hands down, I cried that day, and it was very unexpecting.
