Punk's Go To Sleep: Banned?

At Armaggedon Punk landed a vicious GTS on Rey Mysterio to become the #1 Contender for Regal's IC Title, but as the result of him getting the victory over Rey; Punk actually ended up breaking Rey's nose in what I thought was one of the sickest GTS I've seen from Punk.

Here's the point: The same exact thing happened to Snitsky with him selling the GTS badly and breaking his nose on a past RAW maybe 2-3 months ago, and the same thing has happened to Rey.

Do you think Vince will ban the GTS or he'll let the 2 injuries slide until Punk does it again. Punk has already lost his Pepsi Plunge and his Anacoda Vice, I'm sure he doesn't need to lose another finisher because of the way his opponents sell it badly.

Thoughts?

Wouldn't surprise me, or they'll get Punk to be even softer with it.

I don't think they should ban it though. Accidents happen and let's be honest are an occupational hazard in thr wrestling business

If the guy ends up with a broken nose I'd hardly call that selling badly....

It looked distinctly to me like Punk had undercompensated for how light Rey is.

Snitsky is just a big div.

Would be a shame if GTS was banned because of this.

It should be banned. He's fucking it up quite a bit. The problem is, it's more of a move that could be used in indy's, where guys wouldn't mind having their nose broke, if it helps the match.

But in wwe, they can't have noses being broken/bloodied all the time. So, if they make him miss the head, it looks fake and stupid, and there's no point, and if they let him use it, he injures people.
It's a lose-lose.
They should change his finisher.

More high impact and more of a crowd pleaser than something like the Anaconda Vice though. Although cutting the vice completely out of his moveset made no sense!

i dont even the GTS really so i dont really care but i hate when they ban moves. i would like to see him use the pepsi plunge in the wwe. i wouldnt be surprised if they had him use it in a big match like at wrestlemaina eventually.

...Not while HHH is still active. Pepsi Plunge makes The Pedigree look comparatively weak.

Airfixx is right. He can't use the Pepsi Plunge. especially because if he ever had a match with HHH, which seems to be bound to happen one day, when he goes back to the ME picture, they can't have virtually the same move. not to mention, Punks would look better.
I still sthink he should get rid of the GTS though. But they would have to come up with a new move.

Contrary to popular belief, Vince doesnt "ban moves". He tells people to "be careful in the ring" but at the end of the day, the guys are responsible for what happens in the ring. Its not like Vince will fire you if you do a certain move, its just another failed Vinceconception.

^ But I do beleive the case was different when Undertaker was asked never to use the last ride after his gimmick was changed from Biker to Deadman.

Also staying on topic I think he shouldn't ban it he should just be more careful obviously seems like he is getting a bit 'stiff' with it.

I don't think you should pin all the blame on his opponents, Punk's equally to blame in this too. And as said before, it's a lose-lose situation. When some people do it (usually the bigger guys) you can clearly see them land on there feet 1st and then fall back with little impact on the face. While i think with Rey he lifted his knee to early thus having Rey's body weight thrown straight to his knee via breaking, injuring, bloodying whatever happen to his nose.

I say he needs another finisher, how long until Punk breaks another nose, and another and another. Can't have a show with wrestlers that have broken nose's. What if during the Punk Regal feud, Punk breaks Reagal's nose in the mist of their rivariy to the point where Regal is out. That's the end of that feud. He then goes and has a match with Jericho or something, breaks his nose, there goes the top heel on RAW. Those are just scenarios and what ifs but still it could and a matter of time will happen.

They don't need a move where it could legitly injure their stars. So I say new finisher for Punk. I never liked the way he did the move anyway.

I like the move but if its doing this then I say maybe have it where he can only use it in certain matches. Like high profile matches maybe but even then he would have to be real careful.

Also I never seen the Pepsi Plunge can someone send me a video of it.
