Simple thread what X-Division start do you believe is ready to make the jump from X-Division to main event. There probably are a few good choice but who do you believe to be the closest. As or me there are two I think could make the jump with one little put over by the MEM. The first of which being obviously Eric Young. Now that he's finally gotten to where he is no longer "afraid" there is no reason his character could go to the top.

As for the next guy who would be ready to jump up in my opinion is easily Jay Lethel. He has the total package. The gimmick, Mic Skills, and Wrestling ability. It would take little to nothing to push him to he main event as if you ask me he has been ready for, for a good while.

So lets have it. Who do you think is ready for a push to the top? and please explain.

I say drop the Curryman Gimmick and Push Christopher Daniels to the main event. He has done alot for TNA and was one of the big 3 main stars in the X-Division.The other two have gone on to the main event so I say let Daniels go also.

Daniels has been to the top that would be like turning back the clock and too easily done and Lethal while entertaining should stay in the tag division with Creed they may a solid tag team....I would like to see some fresh faces brought in and push like say Paul London who was let go be WWE.

Petey Williams, they have already been giving him a few month long storyline with Scott STeiner one time in the near future he will break away from Steiner not doing what he is told to do turning face and beating STeiner in a boring matchup.

He will then go on to being the main event player some time in 09 I see it.

I still have hopes that a Daniels return is in the works. I see the Main Event Mafia gaining a lot of momentum, so Joe and Styles are forced to recruit some talent. Who better than Chris Daniels? Styles, Daniels, and Joe vs Angle, Sting, and Booker T. That's a PPV match.

Another name is possibly Petey Williams. I've never been a huge fan of his, but I am curious as to how things play out in his probably feud with Scott Steiner.

I would say Christopher Daniels but he is pretty much dead now that the Curryman gimmick has stayed for so long. Without Daniels there I would have to say Petey Williams, Maple leaf muscle, his gimmick is good and he is great in the ring, he's not bad on the mic and is one of the stronger X-Divisioners. He would be a great choice imo.

Like everyone else on the IWC has been dreaming about for years, ditch the Curry Man gimmick and bring back Daniels so he can finally jump into the main event scene. Jay Lethal could be a good main eventer as well, he's over with the crowd despite the Black Machismo gimmick getting stale (imo). Kaz could be another option, but it doesn't look like thats going to happen now

But here's the problem, as much as I want TNA to drop the Curry Man gimmick I strongly believe it's not going to happen at all. A Fallen Angel would be awesome but I think all of the hype around him returning would completely die down at a period of 4-5 weeks. It would've been perfect if he would've been in the same positon as Rhino with The Young Guns as the spiritual speaker since his Fallen Angel gimmick fits it easily. I'd find it pretty hard for him to get over if he came back as The Fallen Angel.

nobody. most of the X-Division guys aren't really great with gimmicks, and you can't relate to Petey Pump or Black Machismo other than a cartoon character. you can only do so much with that, and it's going to get stale after a little while. the X-Division is fine with how it is, and I don't see any need for more "home grown" main eventers for TNA.
