As most of you probably know by now, a story recently surfaced regarding a number of WWE wrestlers being confronted about failing marijuana tests as officials are said to be fed up with the problem. The failures are not considered violations of the Wellness Policy, but rather, simply result in a $1,000 fine. However, a couple of wrestlers were told outright to stop using now and warned them discipline for use is going to get a lot more serious soon. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted one wrestler in particular as failing for pot 11 or 12 times not to mention that his push of not that long ago was stopped.

According to sources backstage, the wrestler in question who failed a dozen tests for pot is Brian Kendrick, whose push has leveled off in recent weeks. Kendrick is said to be a frequent marijuana smoker who happily pays the fines to continue his habit.

Amidst the story of WWE's marijuana crackdown, the Pro Wrestling Torch noted that one wrestler was let go this year as a result of his marijuana habit, at least on top of a few other things. The wrestler in question is Trevor Murdoch, who was released this past July. Murdoch is said to be a frequent marijuana smoker

I F'N KNEW IT!! I said this weeks ago!

The Brian Kendrick's gimmick is that of a pot-smoker, and Zeke is his dealer. They took Kendrick's real life love for pot, and made it into a gimmick.

Just look at Kendrick trying to dance, and look at his jacket. How could the dude not be high?

lol for some apparent reason this reminds me of when Ezekial was seen reading Dr. Seuss anyway lol this will probably put his upper mid card to mid card push in a bad way atleast I think so.

And ya Scotty, I agree, because his push hasn't been nearly as strong lately.

I don't see the big deal on pot. It is legal in some countries and is used as a form of medicines. I personally think that it is better for a wrestler to use pot to ease their injuries than alcohol or pain killers!

He failed 11-12 tests and got a $1,000 fine for every one of them. $12,000... right

I still don't get it. If WWE, the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, the place that everyone works so hard to get to tells you to stop smoking pot, wouldn't you listen? Now maybe its harder than it sounds since I don't do drugs, but at the same time, if you're getting a big push in the biggest wrestling company in the world, don't you think the pot can wait? I thought these guys are supposed to have passion for this business :nonono:

Nah its really not that hard to stop tbh. But i think you are sorely discounting marijuana's effect as a painkiller.

Not as powerful as say a script painkiller, but a lot safer.

he failed 12 tests or whatever so i dont think its really new or big news to them. i never thought he would main event so i dont think i will see it as being any different then if he never smoked...
