Swagger-Raw

So, I was thinking. Jack Swagger, imo, has a great future as a heel in this company. I picture him in feuds against the likes of Taker or Cena and I like the idea. Hell, if kept away from the same brand as Ted DiBiase, he could get to be the top heel of that brand.

And then I remembered how the influence of Raw has helped some other ECW stars. Evan Bourne became relevant on Raw. Miz and Morrison took it to the next level, Mark Henry teaming with Kane got some of his Raw heat back as before his only RAW appearance consisted on jobbing to HHH.

So, how about WWE throwing Jack Swagger to Raw in an Evan Bourne/Mizorrison type roll, just to introduce him to the mainstream audience? Thoughts?

I don't really think he should go on Raw yet.
They have hard times finding stuff for guys like Kofi and Punk to do, so imagine what would happen to Swagger.
Not many people even care about him enough yet, and it wouldn't be good for him IMO, even in a Bourne/Morrison type role.
But, in say 3 months or so, I could see him doing that for sure, because like you said, he has a good future.

Let me take this moment to say that Jack Swagger is the shit, plain and simple.


With that out of the way, let me also take this minute to say that the WWE's main event scene in the next 5 years will consist of Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler. Those two guys kick ass. I want both of them on Raw and just dominate the hell out of everyone.

As for Jack Swagger, I wouldn't put him on RAW just yet. 2-3 more months at ECW and he's ready to wrestle on Mondays.
Swagger is completely over with the ECW fans as a heel, during his match with Tommy Dreamer a few weeks ago the fans ACTUALLY wanted to see him get his ass beat by Dreamer.

If you're a wrestler with an "i'm a proud american" gimmick and you're still gaining heel heat and over with the fans. You're doing one hell of a job as a heel in the WWE, and Swagger isdoing the damn thing.

He reminds me of Biff from Back to the Future lol.

He's characters one of those ones you just want to punch in the face, much like Edge a lot of the time. He looks like a bully and someone up himself, which is what he portrays.

I can't stand this guy...and not in a heel sense....in the way most hate Cody. It really hurts me to even look at this guy with his 8 foot long arms and great sloping ape face and tiny teeth...ugh. Anyway..

He has a good future but I would rather him on ECW for azt least another 5 monthes. I would love to see him get the ECW title and reign with it for a couple of monthes before moving to Raw part time. This would get him more over without him going stale. This would be the best move to see as he is very technical and could have alot of good matches with the Raw superstars.

Jack Swagger is just another cheesy American gimmick. The All American American? That just sounds so absolutely stupid. He reminds me so much of Kurt Angle in the gimmick type sense, but I guess he could be in the amateur wrestling background way.

I feel with him they have mixed Kurt Angle's & DDP's WWE "Hey look at my teeth" gimmicks and made a super cheesy gimmick, complete with Noble's trashy hillbilly music when he was with Nidia to top it all off.

Maybe he can move to RAW when he actually does something impressive. I mean, beating Tommy Dreamer. Bloody hell, what a champ.

Actually, that gimmick is almost guaranteed heel heat in today's day and age. Its not cool to unquestionably love your country anymore. You are supposed to question your country and claim everything it does is wrong. Thats the new American way.

WOW - I watch Raw and SD and not ECW and I honestly have NO idea who Jack Swagger is. That being said, if he needs work, leave him on ECW and build him up and make him somebody EVERYONE knows (and I've been watching wrestling since 1983 and have a tattoo of Hogan on my arm so I'm not a newb to the scene). Anyone have any additional info on this guy????

That's the exact reason why I would throw him to Raw once every 3 weeks for example. Have him squash any jobber, and then a video recapping his ECW highlights. If he stays in ECW, nobody is going to know him.
