no but seriously, we do it when the baby is 8 days old so we don't remember or feel anything at the time and it is actually scientificly proven that if you have it done to you - you as an adult have a less chance of getting diseases on it. edit; example testicular cancer or aids
And WS is talking about it not only being for jews its true the muslems / arabs also do it to the males but (correct me if I am wrong) they do it when they are 13 years old, which is a big difference to doing it like we do when we are 8. At 13, it would hurt alot and seriously I couldn't imagine it.
