Obviously WWE wanted to push the women's division a little more since that's where TNA were getting their highest ratings, so why not take it a step further. ECW is basically a watered down RAW or Smackdown! right now. Their ratings are slipping and it's hard to get anyone over if a lot of the people aren't over themselves.

So what I say they should is merge the ECW men into he RAW and Smackdown rosters (giving them the divas spot on those shows). it would give a lot more versatility in the feuds they set up as well. The same would go for the new Diva's show.

They have more than enough women already to fill a one-hour show and seeing more than one feud per show would be a breath of fresh air. All of the divas would be mixed and we could see other matches than Mickie vs. Beth and Michelle vs. Maryse. They could even install a tag team championship (of course the Women's and Diva's Championship would be combined). I just think it would give a lot more potential for the women to get over and give some of the guys on ECW the same opportunity.

And to top it all off, the Divas can still appear on the other shows as managers/valets/etc.

^ As vulgar and stereotypical as your final comment is, I do think there is some validity in it. If we're dealing theoretically with the prospect of ECW being an all-inclusive brand, I would say make it a Cruiserweight division.

This isn't about ECW sucking or not. It's about the fact that they can splice them in with the rest of the roster and use that time for a division that seems out of place on the regular shows. And a for your last comment, Watch Mickie James vs. Trish at WM22 and tell me that all women are good for is looking good. If that were true, Awesome Kong wouldn't have a job in TNA now.

But the cruiserweights can inter-act with the heavyweights on a regular basis. Having segments for just the women not only takes time away from the men (since they're rarely involved), but it also gives the women little time to get all 15 of them over. Granted I agree that the cruiserweights can use more time as well, but women segments seem more out of place than cruiserweight ones.

I really on't think ANYONE would watch it. It's not like they are the knockouts, where they are all very good. WWE has alot of eye candy, and a fw good wrestlers. If they were to have their own show, noone would really want to watch, because they aren''t good in the ring, so it would be pointless.
On top of that, in order to do it, they would have to get rid of the "bimbos" who don't wrestle, and I don't want that:( I like bikini contests  lol

Making ECW into an all woman brand is a very bad idea considering that the WWE is trying to keep some decent ratings. Plus let's be honest, nobody wants to watch the WWE Divas unless they are stripping to their bra and panties. Also, most of the Divas can't wrestle or can put on a decent match as good as the TNA Knockouts.

I'm not being a womanizer, I'm just keepin it real.

You have to think logically and reaqlise that the WWE would not sacrifice ratings to give their mostly untalented women more air time. Sure, it might make them improve, but they have house shows for that and nobody wants to see the divas wrestle anyway. ECW does not need to be made all women or all cruiserweights, it is a good product now and that should not be changed.

No one wants to see the divas wrestle because they can't get over, chances to improve, etc. but yet you don't mind them taking up time on the shows not doing those things? Odd.

I think what ECW is doing now is ok. Giving the mid-carders a shot at maineventing. What I think they should do is move the cruiser title from SD and the tag title from Raw to ECW. It'll give ECW more things to work with, while giving SD and Raw time to showcase its other talents.

Let's see.....there's the wrestlers.

Mickie James, Beth Pheonix, Melina, Victoria, Natalya, Bella's, Jillian and Katie Lea (and Gail Kim)

And then you've got the Divas

Candice, Kelly Kelly, Layla, Michelle McCool, Eve, Maryse, Maria
------------------------
That's 17 females. Hardly much of a roster, regardless if ECW is an hour show or not....and let's face it, there's really only 10 that are ANY good.

Looking back at some of these previous posts, I find it funny that the only reason guys would watch females wrestle is if they were naked......yet they have no problem watching hours of two or more half naked men touching, holding and grabbing each other inappropriately.

If they turned it into all diva roster 1 it would lose ratings big time. Jesus an 8minute match is too long for me let alone an hour. 2 IMO it would suck apart from the odd match. TBH there is only a hand full of Divas that can actually wrestle and the the others are there purely to look good.

I think ECW is fine as it is. It gives the mid card a good chance at maineventing and it great starting ground for new young and up coming talent to get tested. I think it could do with another belt maybe cruiserweight or something. But nah dont do all out diva show.

Have you seen enough of the Bellas to argue they're good wrestlers? BTW, Candice and Michelle are adequate, while Kelly and Maryse are improving, and watchable in the ring. The rest; Layla has some athletic ability, she just needs to put forth some effort into improving, while I've seen nothing of Eve, but she's more of an interviewer. Maria is okay, nothing special.

Regarding this, I'm not sure what to make of this. Unfortunately, as sad a truth this is, the women will never be taken seriously enough in the WWE to the point where a demand for a seperate show just for them will exist. It's just not plausible.

It's too much now because they're not booked seriously. How could they be with just 8 minutes a show. How many matches have had just 2 divas facing off in the past year? I'd say about 10% are one on one matches. The rest are tags, 6 woman tag, 16 woman tags, battle royals.....they make matches to shove everyone in there at once which really takes away from a single person getting over.

And more time to wrestle would encourage them to get better, right? Look at Candice, she blows, but she's getting a push so she's trying to improve.

Again, it's not about how ECW is doing. It's about the fact that they can get over while doing things with the rest o the roster while the women really only have the women to work with.

They can't hire more?

Exactly. If that was the case, then why do TNA's women's segments get so highly rated, unless there's a lot of people with a secret crush on Awesome Kong. lol

I gotta clear up to you guys that the reason we see what we see on TV with the divas is because of the fact that they don't have time and a lot of opportunity to get over. Therefore, if those elements were provided, we wouldn't see the same crap. We would see a destination for GOOD women wrestlers where they can have real feuds and more than just a chance to show their tits.

I won't talk about WWE making another show for womens wrestling or eliminating ECW and replacing it with womens wrestling. But lets talk in general for now, what women talent does WWE posses? none. What interest does WWE have in Women Wrestling?? none, that's what I would assume after looking back at the way Stacy Keibler dominated the womens division back in the day and the way Gail Kim was used in her short career. If you want good wrestling action out of the women then use them properly first.

If you ask for my opinion, they are all freaking playboy posers, nothing more other than that. Of course they usually pop up in stupid Diva Angles which are used to get young stars over. But then again, I would highly doubt that WWE would ever do this sort of a thing. If they actually want to invest in the womens division then they first need better talent that can actually wrestle.

They need women like Gail Kim and Sensational Sherri who are worthy of being called wrestlers. TNA doesn't have Diva Angles, Strip Dances and matches like the Bra and Panties all the time. :yeahright: They come up with some good matches 80% of the time and the majority of women in TNA can put on a legitimate wrestling match. TNA also treats women wrestling like all other forms of wrestling and that's why they're successful in their knockouts division. WWE's use of the women is completely opposite.
