They wont change to Basic Thuganomics. The most likely option is them buying out the case and Cena will be the same old Cena he has been, with the same music and attire. If not, they'll probably remix it or alter it slightly and claim it's a different song.

^^^Get real!!! They're not gonna change Cena's whole character just because them possibly having to get a new entrance theme...

As Kaedon says, WWE can MORE THAN afford to pay for the use of the song if they REALLY want it, otherwise they'll just get a new one.

As for your ranting about kids... It's traditionally been a family product aside from the Attitude era.... How the fuck do you think Hogan got so big? ...When he said to "all [his] little Hulkamaniacs" "says your prayers and eat your vitamins" he wasn't talking to a bunch of blood thirsty 16-30 yr olds, for christs sake!

really all i was saying was that IF they bring him back with Basic Thuganomics then that will be the only gimmick thatll fit. his gimmick now wouldnt fit with it. but ya they could just buy it out which is all that company wants Vince to do or they could make a new song cause they also have enough money, equipment and talent to do that.

i forgot about Hogan, my mistake, but wasnt he like the only person back then who really was pointed to little kids. now we have Cena, Batista, Rey, Jeff, and Hornswoggle. I think that they should at least cut back on that gimmick.

this is just plain stupid. Everyone has to hate up on Cena one way or another, whether its his song, how good or bad he wrestles, if he's champ or not, what he does in or out of the ring, if he's heel or face, if he's rapping with wigger style or doin something else

You guys need to realize, the wwe plain sucks now WAY more than it did before. IMO Cena carries the wwe, plain and simple. All the little mexican kids who go buy those fake 8 dollar shirts at their local mall support the wwe, then go out and buy the action figures and the belts and the other assorted toys and then go buy the dvds and THEN if they can, go see it live

Cena is a market base for the WWE, he'll come back, make a new cd, have a new titantron video, become champ, and make the wwe more then like 5-10 million dollars in that process alone. You should stop hating him for who he is, and see what he does for the business alone

Except there's no hating going on here... --->

Yeah, but they won't.

LOL... Talent has nothing to do with it.... NEWS FLASH: Cena is NOT a good rapper!!!

Yeah, sorry, there's me forgetting that The Gobbledygooker, The Bushwhackers, Red Rooster, Killer Bees, WWF superstar food-fights, Weasle-suit matches, hell, even Ultimate Warrior were for an adult audience.

How do you think ECW got such momentum so quickly.... All the 16-30 yr old heads turned and were like "now THAT's aimed at me!"

I think that they should at least cut back on that gimmick.

The gimmick of trying to attract an audience that's gonna keep the company afloat for the next 10, 15 maybe 20 even years?

...Yeah, very smart.

Quote of the Year Candidate.

Yea dudes, you can say Cena was stale or sucked or was boring all you want, when you compare then and now, you will realize it sucks way more right now than it did back then.

IMO, Cena kicks ass, he always kicked ass and was always entertaining, everyone is so quick to hate on this guy. I am from Chicago, Cena is public enemy number one, don't see me hating on the guy do you?

thank you mike(xba) for agreeing with me on that

What you people dont understand is that however much you may hate or love cena, for whatever reasons they may be, you need to look at the facts. When Cena was champ for WM21-23ish and look at the facts here... the ratings were WAY up, now look at them now since he'sn ever
hurt.... the ratings are lower than ever

CENA=RATINGS.....PLAIN AND SIMPLE

TMZ said:
The guys of '90s hard-core rap group M.O.P. say John Cena and the WWE jacked one of their songs for John's entrance music and they're alleging some pretty slippery moves in the process.

Jamal Grinnage and Eric Murray -- that's Lil' Fame and Billy Danze -- want to put the kill switch on Cena's song, "The Time Is Now," saying it borrows heavily from their hit "Ante Up." In a federal lawsuit, they claim WWE's lawyers actually found some person to sign off on the license who was only a receptionist and didn't have authority to do so.

The biggest point of actual musical contention is one non-English line -- "BRRR Abado" -- that appears in the original song once, and in JC's song three times.

The suit asks for destruction of Cena's song and $150K from the defendants. No word from Cena or WWE yet.

I recognized that years ago. Sad wrestlers are so late on wrestling these days. Some still mention Ted Diabiase (Sr.) in their raps.

Is that IT? The use of a phrase? ...Rediculous! ...MOP need to get over themselves - Borrowing and recycling old music is what HipHop was built upon.

...The rest of the tunes are NOTHING alike.

Sad wrestlers [assuming here you actually mean rappers]are so late on wrestling these days. Some still mention Ted Diabiase (Sr.) in their raps.

They're prob just referencing things from when they were kids rather than claiming to be the smartest of the smartest of smarks. Besides, you'd kinda expect them to be referencing the larger than life characters of the 80's rather than the relatively normal personas of the guys of today.

if thats it, wtf? i heard that "brrrr abado" a million times before in different raps. one of them was in midnight club III. but if the WWE did in fact signed them off the copyrights or whatever, then they'd have to pay for a settlement or something.

Personally, I think this will be a nice change for Cena. He's certainly moved out of the rap phase of his career, so it's time to ditch him rapping his theme music.

Although, I certainly wouldn't mind him using Basic Thuganomics (best theme song ever!) and returning to his heel rapper roots. Maybe, in a surprize twist, have his manager be Macho Man Randy Savage. Savage can enter with "Be a Man". :D

Me I find it damn funny for one reason and one reason only.

All the crap WWE has tried to pull with lawsuits that are bullcrap.

Main one that comes to mind is suing TNA over the word Superstar.

I mean hell Vince does not own superstar so if that can hold up in court this can hold up a hell of alot more because they got that line in there song.

^He sued TNA for calling their talent, superstars? You serious?
